Lalvini, Giordano V" Associates, Inc. • Performed computer modeling of three municipalities water distribution systems using WaterCad modeling software. • Prepared Consumptive Water Use Plan (CUP) application including preparation of water use plan, long term water supply plan, water conservation plan and coordination of Hydrogeological modeling services. • City Engineer for 3 years for Weston, Florida a City with a population of 61,000. Process Engineering Manager, Parkson Corporation, Fort Lauderdale, FL (1984 to 1990). Duties and accomplishments in the aeration products group: • Designed aeration systems for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants. • Developed the clean water and process water aerator performance test program. • Supervised three engineers and one technician. • Supervised contractors during equipment installation and start -up. • Designed a full scale clean water aerator test facility. • Designed and constructed a process water off -gas analyzer. • Composed software programs for analysis of test data. • Designed and implemented a field and shop testing database. Senior Assay Specialist, Dade International, Incorporated (formerly Baxter Diagnostics), Miami, FL (December 1996 to May 1997 and 1990 to 1994). Duties were associated with production of laboratory controls for use on a variety of diagnostics equipment. Projects were as follows: . New Product Core Team. Manufacturing representative on a new product core team. The team was transferring a laboratory control product from R &D to manufacturing. My responsibilities on the team included: • Giving input as to technical feasibility. • • Setup of all manufacturing systems. • Setup of raw materials purchasing and testing systems. 0 • Determining the manufacturability of the product. • • Setup pre - production lots. • • Execute manufacturing of and testing of pre - production lots. • Estimate production cost. Scrap Reduction. This project involved determining the cause of scrap during product manufacture, filtration and filling. Work has also been done to optimize the routers and bill of materials to ensure that proper scrap factors were used. Database to Collect Production Data. Setup a MS Access database for capture of all production data. Project included determination of what data to capture, design of database and composition of data input screens. Troubleshooting of Manufacturing Processes and Day to Day Production Assistance. In addition to the above projects, I coordinated production runs, in- process testing, final product testing and long term stability testing. The testing included summary of data and analysis. Duties and Accomplishments (1990- 1994) • Involved in production of reagents for the Stratus®, an automated instrument performing 30 fluorometric enzyme immunoassys utilizing radial chromatography. Reagents manufactured included monoclonal antibodies immobilized on glass -fiber filter paper, human or synthetic serum based instrument calibrator solutions, conjugate solutions containing enzymes and substrate wash solutions. • Developed and implemented a new reagent preparation process resulting in enhanced product performance. Validated this preparation process in the Miami manufacturing facility and then transferred it to the manufacturing facility in Puerto Rico. • Developed a reagent preparation process through use of statistically designed experiments. The preparation process resulted in increased product stability. Prepared and tested pilots. Stability and performance were statistically verified. Project included composition of all Change Requests and associated documentation.
