Oiordano &, Associates, Inc. <br />SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS <br />Mr. Kennedy has 16 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering with a <br />specialization in utilities infrastructure design. He has experience in the design of civil <br />engineering projects including water and wastewater treatment plant processes, water mains, <br />and wastewater force main projects. He has also prepared the hydraulic analysis on force main <br />piping network systems using hydraulic modeling software and has performed hydraulic analysis <br />on operations associated with water and wastewater treatment plants. Mr. Kennedy is also <br />experienced in preparing capacity analysis reports, risk management plans and vulnerability <br />assessments. He has prepared ion exchange DBP removal studies, odor control studies and <br />designs for sewage pump stations including master plans for sewage collection and pumping <br />systems. Mr. Kennedy has worked extensively with permitting agencies including various <br />municipalities, County Planning, Environmental and Health Protection departments, Florida <br />Department of Environmental Protection, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. He also <br />has considerable construction management experience. <br />PROJECT EXPERIENCE <br />Associate, Chemical Engineering, Calvin, Giordano and Associates, Incorporated <br />• (formerly Berry and Calvin) Ft. Lauderdale, FL (May 1997 to Present and 1994 to <br />December 1996). Duties and accomplishments for various municipal and private client <br />projects: <br />. • Designed and coordinated a $4,500,000 wastewater treatment facility expansion. This <br />project included determination of client needs, preparation of technical design report, <br />design of all unit operations, preparation of preliminary and final cost estimates, <br />• preparation of all equipment and process specifications, preparation of all environmental <br />and engineering permits, work direction for project team members including staff <br />engineers and coordination of electrical and structural sub - consultant's designs. <br />• Responsible for preparation of project schedule and timely project completion. <br />Preformed project management functions including all project meeting attendance, shop <br />drawing review, payment request approval. Project was completed with change orders <br />• totaling less than 2 %. <br />• Designed and coordinated a $3,500,000 water treatment facility expansion. This project <br />included a 6 MGD ion exchange and final filtration system expansion to a 16 MGD <br />• treatment facility. Preformed project management functions including all project meeting <br />attendance, shop drawing review, payment request approval. Project was completed <br />under budget. <br />• • Designed and coordinated an odor control system for a wastewater treatment facility <br />including sizing and design of packed tower gas absorption scrubber units, chemical <br />storage facilities and aluminum dome structures. Project also included vendor contact <br />and assessment. <br />• Designed water and sewer facilities for a 1,500 acre housing development including <br />gravity sewer system, water and wastewater transmission mains. Project also included <br />design of sewage pumping stations and cost estimates for all utility work. <br />• Composed capacity analysis reports for wastewater treatment facilities. <br />• Prepared Risk Management Programs to prevent chlorine release for three <br />municipalities in Florida.
