ulvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc. <br />• SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS <br />• Mr. Brunner has 17 years of experience in transportation planning and traffic engineering for <br />public and private sector clients. His expertise includes refinement of regional and subarea <br />demand models for planning and design needs; conceptual design and alternatives analysis <br />• for roadway facilities; transportation analysis associated with amendments to Local <br />Government Comprehensive and Trafficway plans; regional and site - related transportation <br />concurrency evaluations; master planning of large, multi -use PUDs including land use /- <br />• transportation system alternatives and trade -off analysis; Development of Regional Impact <br />(DRI) studies; and, development of design traffic forecasts for major roadway projects. His <br />traffic engineering experience includes arterial and intersection operational analysis; level-of- <br />service evaluation, accident history, and expert witness investigation; access management; <br />and, traffic safety studies. Mr. Brunner is very familiar with the Florida Administrative Code <br />Rules and State Statutes pertaining to transportation and land use planning. <br />Mr. Brunner serves as the Consulting City Traffic Engineer and Development Review <br />Committee (DRC) reviewer for a number of municipalities where he participates in <br />transportation and land use policy decisions regarding concurrency monitoring, <br />comprehensive planning, and intergovernmental coordination with agencies. He has written <br />several ordinances pertaining to transportation concurrency, traffic performance standards, <br />and the installation of traffic control devices. He was also formerly a project manager for the <br />USDOT /FTA on transit microcomputer applications. <br />PROJECT EXPERIENCE <br />General Engineering and Planning Services (Traffic Engineering), Weston, <br />Florida. Provides as- needed traffic engineering and planning services including control <br />recommendations, conditions monitoring, operations analysis, impact and site plan review <br />for traffic. Manages transportation comprehensive planning, ordinance development, and <br />concurrency. Handles intergovernmental coordination with Broward County Traffic <br />Engineering Division, Broward County Development Management Division, FDOT, DCA, and <br />surrounding municipalities. <br />Weston RoadBonaventure Boulevard Corridors Coordinated Signal System <br />Phase I, Weston, Florida. Provided technical and field support for the planning and <br />implementation of coordinated signal system groups. Working in coordination with the <br />Broward County Traffic Engineering Division, developed a short- and long -range signal <br />interconnect plan to be implemented throughout the City. Short -term plan establishing <br />modem -based telecommunications from selected signal groups to the County's central <br />control center. System is based on infrastructure that has been installed along major <br />roadways in conjunction with various City- initiated traffic signal and roadway projects. The <br />ultimate system will expand to east /west corridors, which will eventually be connected to the <br />County's Advanced Traffic Monitoring System (ATMS), an advanced fiber - optic -based com- <br />munication system that is able to coordinate with FDOT ITS infrastructure on 1 -595 and 1 -75. <br />Edward A. McCarthy High School, Flamingo Road School Entrance Flashing <br />Beacon Project, Archdiocese of Miami.
