Water Pollution Control Federation <br /> <br />Environmental Permitting <br /> <br />Participated and directed negotiations with key members of various <br />regulatory agencies in the procurement of permits required for the <br />construction and operation of numerous utility and stormwater <br />facilities. Recent projects include the environmental assessment of <br />wetland impacts related to the Phase I of the West Wellfield for the <br />Miami-Dade Water & Sewer Department (MDWASD); provided <br />support for the Master Dewatering Permit for ST A-5 and the ST A-5 <br />Discharge and Outlet Canals for construction of levees, structures, <br />canals, etc.; Watershed Dewatering Permit Extension for the Miami <br />International Airport NW Corner including Water Use Permit <br />Application; applied for and obtained numerous Class IV and ERP <br />permits from the Department of Environmental Resources Management (DERM), the U.S. Army Corps of <br />Engineers (ACOE), the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and the South Florida Water <br />Management District (SFWMD). Other projects include preparation of restoration and mitigation plans for <br />wetlands impacts. <br /> <br />Directed and supervised the preparation and regulatory approval of several storm water management <br />plans for construction debris landfill installations. <br /> <br />Principal in Charge <br />Crandon Park Master Plan Environmental Permitting Due Diligence <br />Miami-Dade Parks and Recreational Department - Miami-Dade County, Florida <br />In charge of the quality control of the development of the Crandon Park Master Plan Environmental Due <br />Diligence project. The master plan calls for enhancing the shoreline of the park by increasing the <br />recreational potential of this area. The master plan will implement the recreational enhancements of the <br />shoreline drop-off areas north and south of the attached sand bar. The enhancements to the shoreline will <br />be accomplished by placement of sand to shallow the existing north and south drop-off areas and <br />creating an artificial reef snorkeling area in the south drop-off area. <br /> <br />Principal in Charge <br />Margaret Pace Park Shoreline Stabilization <br />City of Miami Transportation and Capital Improvements Department - Miami-Dade County, Florida <br />In charge of the quality control of the preparation of construction documents for stabilizing approximately <br />1,300 linear feet of the eastern shoreline of Margaret Pace Park located at 1775 N. Bayshore Drive in the <br />City of Miami. In addition, prepared and processed a Miami-Dade County Department of Environmental <br />Resources Management (DERM) Class-I Permit application as well as a Florida Department of <br />Environmental Protection (FDEP) Joint Environmental Resource Permit (ERP) application. <br /> <br />Principal in Charge <br />West Kendall Park Lake Management Plan <br />Miami-Dade Parks and Recreational Department - Miami-Dade County, Florida <br />In charge of the quality control of the preparation of the lake management plan for a 20 acre lake that will <br />abut Kendall Tamiami Airport. The plan address concerns associated with the potential of bird strikes and <br />the use of airport property by foraging mammals attracted to the lake.
