Resurfacing and widening of NW 14th Street from NW 34th Avenue to NW 22nd Avenue in the City of <br />Miami. The project included the milling and resurfacing of NW 14th Street, a two-lane undivided roadway, minor widening and <br />intersections, and the reconstruction of the existing swale with concrete grid pavers. Also included was some reconstruction of NW <br />34th Avenue to provide drainage improvements. With the resurfacing of the roadway, signing and pavement markings were also <br />provided. <br /> <br />SR 826/Sunny Isles Boulevard Sidewalk Enhancement - Widening of the existing sidewalk and resurfacing of the remaining <br />roadway pavement as part of the City of Sunny Isles Beach Sidewalk Enhancement project. The project included the relocation of <br />existing drainage structures and realigning the merging of the inner and outer eastbound business loop ramps to the eastbound SR- <br />826/Sunny Isles Boulevard. The existing roadway was narrowed from its existing five-lane one way directional urban typical section to <br />a four lane urban roadway with 16-ft wide sidewalks. MEI will then have the opportunity to develop an <br />schedule which essentially is acknowledgement of the schedule, milestones, and critical path activities as they are presented in the <br />schedule. The City will have an opportunity to review the schedule and will conquer with the milestones presented. Any comments to <br />the schedule by the City will be implemented into the MEl's final design schedule. This schedule is just another tool to control the <br />design of the project, and it is consider a "living document". MEI will then review and update the schedule on a monthly basis as the <br />project progress. MEI will have actual control of the schedule by utilizing the following steps: 1) Be proactive an accelerate activities <br />and submittals in order to balance out any delays due to unforeseen conditions, 2) Meet with key stakeholders such as FDOT, The <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach, Miami-Dade County, DERM and other agencies, early in order to achieve consensus on key issues such <br />as permitting, and community impacts. 3) Early communication with utilities, 4) Submit and initiate the permitting process early in the <br />design process with all agencies having jurisdiction as soon as possible, 5) Maintain a excellent line of communication with all <br />subconsultants. <br /> <br />~~~~, <br />
