Cooperate with laboratory personnel, and provide access to Work and pay for <br />testing. <br /> <br />B. Secure and deliver to the laboratory adequate quantities of representational <br />samples of materials proposed to be used and which require testing. <br /> <br />C. Provide to the laboratory the preliminary design mix proposed to be used for <br />concrete, and other materials mixes which require control by the testing <br />laboratory. <br /> <br />D. Materials and equipment used in the performance of work under this Contract are <br />subject to inspection and testing at the point of manufacture or fabrication. <br />Standard specifications for quality and workmanship are indicated in the Contract <br />Documents. The Engineer may require the Contractor to provide statements or <br />certificates from the manufacturers and fabricators that the materials and <br />equipment provided by them are manufactured or fabricated in full accordance <br />with the standard specifications for quality and workmanship indicated in the <br />Contractor Documents. All costs of this testing and providing statements and <br />certificates shall be a subsidiary obligation of the Contractor, and no extra charge <br />to the Owner shall be allowed on account of such testing and certification. <br /> <br />E. Furnish incidental labor and facilities: <br /> <br />1. To provide access to Work to be tested <br /> <br />2. To obtain and handle samples at the Project site or at the source of the <br />product to be tested <br /> <br />3. To facilitate inspections and tests <br /> <br />4. For storage and curing of test samples <br /> <br />F. Notify laboratory sufficiently in advance of operations to allow for laboratory <br />assignment of personnel and scheduling of tests. <br /> <br />G. Employ and pay for the services of the same or a separate, equally qualified <br />independent testing laboratory to perform additional inspections, sampling and <br />testing required for the Contractor's convenience. <br /> <br />H. Provide the Engineer with a copy of all test and reports. <br /> <br />TYPES OF TEST REQUIRED <br /> <br />A. Density tests for trench backfill at the rate of three tests per lift in 1,000 feet of <br />trench. <br /> <br />B.
