Moving parts shall be rotated a minimum of once weekly to insure proper <br />lubrications and to avoid metal-to-metal "welding". Upon installation of the <br />equipment, the Contractor shall start the equipment, at least half load, once <br />weekly for an adequate period of time to insure that the equipment does not <br />deteriorate from lack of use. <br /> <br />F. All materials which, in the opinion of the Engineer, have become so damaged as <br />to be unfit for the use intended or specified shall be promptly removed from the <br />site of the work, and the Contractor shall receive no compensation for the <br />damaged material or its removal. <br /> <br />G. Arrange storage in a manner to provide easy access for inspection. Make <br />periodic inspections of stored Products to assure that Products are maintained <br />under specific conditions, and free from damage or deterioration. <br /> <br />H. Protection After Installation: <br /> <br />1. Provide substantial coverings as necessary to protect installed products <br />from damage from traffic and subsequent construction operations. <br />Remove covering when no longer needed. <br /> <br />I. The Contractor shall be responsible for all materials, equipment, and supplies <br />sold and delivered to the Owner under this Contract until final inspection of the <br />work and acceptance thereof by the Owner. In the event any such material, <br />equipment, and supplies are lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed prior to final <br />inspection and acceptance, the Contractor shall replace same without additional <br />cost to the Owner. <br /> <br />J. Should the Contractor fail to take proper action on storage and handling of <br />equipment supplied under this Contract within seven days after written notice to <br />do so has been given, the Owner retains the right to correct all deficiencies noted <br />in previously transmitted written notice and debit the cost associated with these <br />corrections from the Contractor's Contract. These costs may be comprised of <br />expenditures for labor, equipment usage, administrative, clerical, engineering and <br />any other costs associated with making the necessary corrections. <br /> <br />SUBSTITUTIONS AND PRODUCT OPTIONS <br /> <br />A. Products List: <br /> <br />1. Within 30 days after the effective date of the Agreement, submit to the <br />Engineer a complete list of major products proposed to be used, with the <br />name of the manufacturer and the installing subcontractor. <br /> <br />B. Contractor's Options: <br /> <br />1. For Products specified only by reference standard, select any product <br />meeting that standard. <br /> <br />01600-4 <br /> <br />03-4197 <br />
