CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS NO. 07-04-02 HERITAGE PARK PARKING GARAGE PROJECT APPROACH TimHaahs understands that the City of Sunny Isles Beach seeks to retain Professional Engineering Services for the design and preparation of complete construction contract plans and special provisions for the Heritage Park Parking Garage. The City of Sunny Isles is seeking a professional consulting firm to provide architectural/design and engineering services, a sole source of responsibility to support this endeavor. TimHaahs has assembled a team to provide the complete range of services described in the Request for Qualifications No. 07-04-02. TimHaahs faces design challenges on almost every project, and implements a project execution plan focusing on cost-effective solutions. We also understand the specific design challenges for municipal parking structures. The following details TimHaahs' approach to the challenges presented in the Heritage Park Garage project. COMMUNICATION APPROACH TimHaahs' core values and communication approach are displayed on a day-to-day basis as standard operating procedures. Our core values include returning calls on the same day, going the extra mile for our clients, and making every effort to exceed expectations. TimHaahs' communication approach includes: · Effective communication on a daily basis. · Keeping the City informed at all times. · Immediate response to all phone calls and emails. · Principal involvement throughout the entire project. · Guiding and advising the City throughout the entire process. PROJECT CHALLENGES Architectural Treatment The design of the facility, in terms of architecture and function, must be attractive and efficient. The garage will blend seamlessly into the neighborhood context, while providing an essential service for residents, employees, and visitors to the area. The facility design will feature elements connecting the structure to the architecture, character of City of Sunny Isles Beach, and most importantly, the community it is designed to serve. The TimHaahs team understands that the new fac;:ade of the parking structure must create an attractive, inviting image. We have visited the site and are familiar with the aesthetics and visual elements of the area. RTKL is dedicated to creating architecture that meets clients' unique and complex needs - and they will lead the architectural services for the project. Our team understands that parking garages often serve as a "gateway" to their ultimate destination. It is essential that such a facility welcomes users, and leaves a positive impression.
