I

R.S. MURAU, M.S.

I

I

Florida. The project involves the design and approval of a residential subdivision with major approvals from Okeechobee
County and SFWMD. These include ERP, Works of the District, Site Plan and Plat approvals.

Deering Bay Marina, Coral Gables Miami-Dade County, Florida - Performed all permitting work to modify the permits for
WCI Communities from the Corps, SFWMD, FDEP, DERM (Miami-Dade County, Department of Environmental resource
Management), and MDWSA (Miami-Dade Water & Sewer Authority). The major issue was the location of the marina in the
Biscayne Bay Aquatic preserve/ Outstanding Florida Waters which is a manatee habitat.

I

I

Heritage Springs, Pasco County, Florida - Permitting consultant for Lennar Homes for a 1500 acre subdivision within a
major watershed. This involves evaluating other consultants' work, coordinating with SWFWMD and representing Lennar
Homes as needed.

I

I

lakes By The Bay, Miami-Dade County, Florida - Permitting consultant to Lennar Homes for a 550 acre residential
development in an area within the CERP (Comprehensive Everglades restoration Plan) boundary and affected by all CERP
related issues. Extremely controversial project due to its proximity to Biscayne Bay Aquatic preserve. The permitting
process has been close to two years with an adversarial administrative hearing on a permit challenge filed by the Florida
Audubon Society. Testified in the hearing on the merits of the project resulting in the approval of the project by the state
and federal agencies.

I

Suncoast Meadows, Saddlebrook, Pasco County, Florida - Permitting consultant for Lennar Homes in 320 acre
residential development. The major issues of concerns are the drainage problems within the regional watershed and the
proximity to a well field.

I

Sunset lakes, Broward County - Performed all the permitting services, for Atlantic Gulf Communities, for the approval of
a 1200 acre residential development in Miramar. The project was controversial due to its proximity to the East Coast Buffer
area of the CERP. The services included negotiating and obtaining approval of an amendment to Master land Use Plan with
opposition from the local government. The approval process lasted 2 Y2 years and the project construction is complete.

I

I

Condado Trio, Puerto Rico - Principal for Development Management Group and Atlantic Gulf Communities for waste
management work associated with the demolition and reconstruction of three buildings in the Condado area of San Juan.

I

Aljoma lumber, Miami-Dade County - Principal for Aljoma Lumber for environmental audit and compliance in a lumber
facility in Medley Florida. Major issue here is impact on groundwater by CCA (Copper Chromium
Arsenate) treated lumber.

I

Security Estates, Miami-Dade County - Principal for Capeletti Brothers' project involving assessment and remediation of
the construction and demolition debris facility.

I

MEMBERSHIP AND PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS
Member International Council of Shopping Centers
Member, Department of Interior, 'Multi-species/Ecosystem Recovery Implementation Team (MERIT)' (2001 to present)
American Water Resources Association - National and Florida Chapters
State of Florida Task Force on Beach and Inlet Maintenance (1977-78)
St. Johns River Water Management District Task Force on Reuse and Conservation (1982-1983)

I

I

I

SELECTED PUBLICATION
"Water Use, Reuse and Abuse" - Nancy Roen and R.
