Plans are prepared in accordance with all applicable criteria of the Manual of Uniform
Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), the FDOT, and the Miami-Dade County Traffic Engineering
Division, while maintaining compliance with relevant City of Sunny Isles Beach codes.

Signalization Analysis and Plans Production

Although mast arm designs are typical of most recent Miami-Dade County signal installations,
Keith and Schnars has also provided special structural designs for signature roadway
applications. Plans are prepared in accordance with all applicable criteria of the Manual of
Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), the FDOT, and the Miami-Dade County Traffic
Engineering Division. Extensive intergovernmental coordination is required for these types of
submittals, and our staff has extensive contacts within the permitting agencies.

"Street Lighting Analysis and Plans Production

Keith and Schnars is experienced in various roadway lighting projects inciuding standard cobra
head designs and architectural designs with improved pedestrian scale features. Plans are
prepared in accordance with all applicable criteria of the National Electrical Code (NEC),
FDOT, Miami-Dade Public Works Department, and local maintaining agency. Similar to many of
the functions associated with plans production, we have interacted with key personnel at the
permitting agencies, and this familiarity can be beneficial to the City of Sunny Isles Beach to
streamline and shorten the already lengthy and costly permitting process.

Bid Administration

The preparation of construction contract documents including plans, bid tabulations,
specifications, supplemental specifications, special provisions, and technical special provisions has
been a service that Keith and Schnars has extensive experience in providing. We are certified by
the FDOT for specification package preparation, and we typically will provide cost estimates
with final plans and during preliminary phase submittals. We also can assist the city with bid
advertisement, contract bid comparison, and contract selection if necessary.

Post Design Services

During the construction phase of the most roadway design projects, we provide support to the
construction management team through shop drawing review, respond to contractor's requests
for information, interpret design intent, resolve the inevitable conflicts that arise during a
project, and provide a tabulation of final quantities. Direct coordination and communication is
crucial to ensure that these services proceed efficiently with minimal disruptions to the
production schedule, unless warranted. >>

-
-
~I~<<~ ~~~~:.~~~~~~~~~~;
-
-
