The project includes the relocation of the City's 10" watermain along S.R. 426 that will be in conflict
with FOOT's improvements. The existing 10" watermain was replaced with a 16" main along the project route which also included
reconnection of existing water services. In addition to the watermain relocations, an additional 12" watermain was designed to provide an
interconnect to another City owned watermain to improve reliably in the City's water system in this area. The City did not have wastewater
service in this area and the design included over 4,000 feet of a gravity sewer collection system with sewer lines ranging from 8" to 15". A
new master lift station was designed to accommodate the new wastewater service area as well as 1,300 feet of a 10" forcemain including a
270 foot directional drill under Red Bug Lake Road. This project also includes the abandonment and demolition of a wastewater treatment
facility and a temporary by-pass system to maintain wastewater service during construction. The construction documents met FDOT plan
preparation standards, FOOT roadway design schedules and where coordinated with the FOOT road design and other utilities.

Year Completed: 2007/Currentl Finishing Design

S.R. 528 Utilit Relocation Pro'ect

Orange Count , Florida

This project was initiated by Orange County Utilities (OCU) to relocate a 16" forcemain as a result of the bridge widening of SR 528 from 1-4
to the Airport Toll Plaza. The widening of the SR 528 had the potential to impact lines owned and maintained by Orange County in Multiple
location. The challenges of this project included replacing the 16" forcemain with a new 30" forcemain within the John Young Parkway right-
of-way under the existing SR 528 bridge and have minimal disruption to the roadway and still maintain operation to the existing forcemain.
The project included two 54" jack and bores of 280 feet and 60 ft each, three 16" lines stops, two large thrust blocks, and 1,500 feet of 30"
forcemain. The construction documents meet FDOT and Turnpike plan preparation standards, FOOT roadway design schedule, and were
coordinated with the FDOT road design and other utilities.

Preliminarv En~dneerinQ
CPH prepared a study of relocation alternatives and solutions to provide continued utility service for the new forcemain. Both jack and bore
and directional boring installations were evaluated as possible construction techniques. Based on our study, it was determined that both
options were constructible but the jack and bore technique was more suited for this particular project.

PermittinQ Services
CPH was responsible for completing applications and obtaining permits from FOEP and Florida Turnpike Enterprises to allow for the
relocation of the forcemain.

Final Desian Services
CPH provided the final construction drawings and technical specifications for the relocated force main on schedule within CPH's contract
amount. CPH also successfully assisted OCU with Bidder evaluations and made recommendations for the subsequent award of the project

Construction Services
CPH provided general construction services during the installation of the forcemain including general observation of the construction, shop
drawings, and RFl's.

Contract Dates: 2005

Contact Person: Jose Hernandez (Oran e Count )

. . .
