The Building was damaged by Hurricane Wilma. The storm blew off the west loading dock <br />canopy (25'x63') and rolled over the warehouse structure peeling the roofing system of the main warehouse and <br />creating extensive damage to the structure and the office interior of the building. The building had additional damage <br />to the roof metal deck due to old age. The building needed to be brought up to the current code requirements and <br />provide accessibility. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Technical Duties: CMF was retained as Architect of Record and Construction Management to provide design /build <br />services for the re-construction of the warehouse and office area. CMF prepared plans and specifications for the <br />rebuilding of the canopy steel structure, replacing of the entire steel deck to the structure. Providing a light weight <br />insulating concrete system, and re-roofing the entire building. As well as the interior build-out of the office area and <br />adding a new entrance feature with handicap ramp and the new elevator tower to the building. The building was <br />upgraded as per Florida building code 2004. A schedule and a cost estimate was prepared prior to signing the contract <br />and cost verification is on going during the construction of the project. The cost of the project was $2,219,000. <br />dollars. The design phase was completed in June 2006. The project is under construction and the construction phase <br />is expected to be completed by August 2007. <br /> <br />6 <br />
