<br />Things to Do in South Beach
<br />The concert hall Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater showcases
<br />high-entertainment events: Labelle's reunion tour, the annual premiere of the
<br />American Black Film Festival, and touring Broadway shows such as Rent. Every
<br />year the Miami Beach Convention Center attracts the popular Art Basel Art
<br />Show, South Florida Auto Show, and South Florida Boat Show.

<br />It's easy to pick up a game of tennis on one of Flamingo Park's 17 clay courts;
<br />the park also has a soccer tleld, basketball court, dog park and friendly people.
<br />The shoreline between 15th and 25th Streets is jammed with bikini-clad
<br />swimmers sun worshippers from around the world, providing a beach scene that
<br />rivals Rio de Janeiro or the south of France.

<br />Sunny Isles Beach
<br />When the Haulover Bridge was completed in 1925, the 2.26-square mile tract
<br />called Sunny Isles-the Venice of America-became accessible from Miami
<br />Beach. It attracted developers who widened streams, dug canals and created
<br />islands for waterfront properties on Blscayne Bay. A less populated (20,000
<br />people), oceanfront community, bordered by the Atlantic Ocean on the east and
<br />the Intracoastal Waterway, Sunny Isles is just 11 miles up Collins Avenue from
<br />South Beach.

<br />Vintage, 1950s motels and intimate beachfront hotels from the 19505 sit slde-by-
<br />side with new luxury high-rise condominiums and elegant hotels.

<br />of the Atlantic Ocean and a beachfront that runs forever. Among the 339 rooms

<br />balconies. The contemporary American menu at the hotel's indoor/outdoor
<br />restaurant Nemoi's has a tropical tlare: mojo skirt steak (with com and tomato
<br />relish, plantain chips stewed black beans and mojo-chum); salmon adobo (chili
<br />spice-rubbed salmon, with tostones papaya-mango chutney and crema);
<br />lemongrass tlan; cocktails include a blackberry caipirinha (homemade
<br />blackberry-orange marmalade, minI and cachaca). Staying in one of the private
<br />cabanas, where massages are available, is an added luxury when you're
