<br />· A water-way restoration project in Sulphur River, AR. Activities included excavation, installation of <br />water control structures, construction of an earthen dam and final site grading and restoration. This <br />nine-month project was completed ahead of the government project deadline. <br />· Responsible for construction of public roads, in accordance with USACE plans and specifications, <br />providing access to the newly designed picnic areas for the Rio Sabana Picnic Area construction <br />project in Puerto Rico. <br />· The deconstruction of a multi-story steel and reinforced concrete structure at a high-security naval <br />facility. Responsibilities included execution of demolition techniques to prevent or minimize damage <br />to historic first level portion of the structure while removing all upper levels. Planned and scheduled <br />work, managed hazardous material debris removal (mercury, lead, asbestos, radioactive materials, <br />methylene chloride, and PCBs), supervised personnel, completed daily reporting, reported daily <br />operations and progress, and enforced site safety. <br />· The installation of an underground drainage system at a United States Air Force Base used for <br />refueling of large aircraft. The underground drainage system was comprised of a large concrete pad <br />and several hundred feet of four-foot concrete pipe. <br />· A habitat rehabilitation project for the USACE along the Mississippi River in Wisconsin. Project <br />activities involved clearing and grubbing, wick drain dewatering for pressurized soil conditions <br />approximately 12 feet below the water table, and excavation for water control structure installation. <br />The water control structure was comprised of a large stoplog structure and approximately 100 linear <br />feet of seven-foot diameter concrete pipe. A crane was utilized for the installation of the stoplog <br />structure and the concrete pipe. The water control structure was backfilled, compacted, and a new <br />asphalt road with cable guard fence was installed across the buried water control structure. <br />· Several disaster recovery efforts throughout the Midwest following ice storms and tornadoes. <br />Responsible for crew supervision, safety, production, quality, equipment maintenance, scheduling <br />and planning, and daily reporting. <br />· Superintendent and equipment operator for several demolition projects throughout the Midwest <br />including residential structures and outbuildings and debris management and disposal. <br />· Equipment Operator for a dike construction project in Belle Plaine, MN, involving the proper closure of <br />two sanitary sewage biological treatment cells. Operations included excavation, backfill, and final <br />grading and stabilization. <br />· Several years experience in hauling. Responsibilities included load preparation, safety inspections of <br />trucks and equipment, permits and licensing, DOT compliance, and transport. <br /> <br />Manager, Kewitt Construction 9/1999 - 12/2001: <br />· Provided oversight to boring and trenching operations for the installation of fiber optics cables. <br />Inspected work and observed general operations to evaluate workmanship and conformance to <br />contract requirements. <br /> <br />Trainer and Operator, Pegasus 10/1997 - 8/1999: <br />· Trained and managed labor force at a gold mine. Trained operators to run and operate various pieces <br />of heavy equipment including graders, loaders, excavators, dozers, and other support equipment. <br /> <br />Trainer and Superintendent, Inchenga Copper 9/1995 - 9/1997 <br />· Trained and managed labor force at a large open-pit mining operation located in Africa. Native <br />workers were trained in the use and maintenance of various types of mining equipment; training <br />included instruction of up to 30 individuals. Also developed proficiency training in various processes <br />to increase overall efficiency and productivity. <br /> <br />Prior to 1995 <br />· Extensive experience running variety of heavy equipment including hydraulic shovels and other <br />mining equipment, graders, loaders, excavators, dozers and various support equipment. <br /> <br />Ed ucation/Certifications <br />· Construction Quality Management for Contractors, Jacksonville District USACE (current) <br />· Class A license <br />· I.
