<br />· Developed and implemented safety and equipment training programs for all operations <br />persol1l1el. <br /> <br />Stiles Landscape Company, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 1998 - 2003 <br />President <br />Responsibilities included increasing sales and profit in the landscape division through the <br />improved use of the company resources. <br /> <br />· Analyzed the profitability of the "commercial landscape installation" and "lawn <br />maintenance" divisions and determined the company could not compete successfully in <br />commercial landscape installation in the Southeast Florida market as a result of the <br />dilution in the market caused by an excessively large number of nursery growers also in <br />the landscape installation business. This resulted in closing the commercial installation <br />division and utilizing the resources to support the lawn maintenance division. <br /> <br />JOSEPH E. JANSSEN <br /> <br />Page Two <br /> <br />Stiles Landscape Company, (continued) <br /> <br />· Reduced the use of sub-contractors by establishing an "arbor" division bringing a <br />previously outsourced $260,000 expense in-house, reducing costs and improving net <br />profit. The arbor division grew to $1,300,000 revenue and 30% division net profit by <br />selling services to local city and county governments, cemeteries and golf courses to <br />name a few. <br /> <br />· -Created a "Mulch Blowing" company to lower the cost of the installation of mulch and <br />soil products on lawn maintenance accounts. This stand alone company grew from <br />$400,000 revenue, one truck and three employees the first year to $1,250,000 revenue <br />and 33% division net profit the third year. <br /> <br />· Increased lawn maintenance division revenues from $2,500,000 to $10,000,000 while <br />meeting projected net profit <br /> <br />International Service Systems, Orlando, Florida 1994 - 1998 <br />Branch Manager (1997-1998) <br /> <br />Responsibilities included meeting sales and profit goals within the central Florida branch. <br /> <br />· Improved quality of service through the implementation of safety, horticultural and <br />equipment training programs for all operations persol1l1el. <br /> <br />· As a result referrals from improved client relationships revenue was increased through <br />the sale of additional resort (site) jobs. <br /> <br />· Renewed contracts with large key accounts increasing contract terms of three years to <br />five years with built in annual increases. <br /> <br />Operations Manager (1994-1997) <br /> <br />Responsibilities included the management of persol1l1el, equipment and resources to provide the <br />landscape maintenance on multiple world class destination resorts (Grand Cypress Resort, Hyatt <br />Grand Cypress, Vistana Resort and Westgate Resort).
