<br />f. Drivers must be able to communicate with passengers in English in order to <br />announce destination points. No solicitation for gratuities, either verbal or <br />written, shall be authorized. <br /> <br />g. Use of loud, indecent or profane language and/or making threatening or obscene <br />gestures toward passengers or other employees. <br /> <br />3.3.2 DRIVERS RESPONSIBILITY <br /> <br />It shall be the responsibility of the driver to devote full attention to the safe, smooth and <br />efficient operation of equipment and to avoid discomfort or inconvenience to the <br />passengers. Subject to orders of persons of higher authority, the driver has charge of the <br />vehicle and shall be responsible for: <br />a. Adherence to route, schedules and time points. <br />b. Knowledge and observance of traffic laws and safety regulations. <br />c. The safety of boarding and alighting passengers. <br />d. Proper display of all required signs and identifications. <br />e. The adjustment of lighting, heating, ventilation and cooling for the comfort of <br />passengers. <br />f. Performance of such other duties as may from time to time be prescribed by the <br />City. <br /> <br />3.3.3 RECORDS. REPORTS AND DOCUMENTS <br /> <br />The Bidder shall maintain such records and accounts including property, personnel, and <br />financial records as are deemed necessary by the City to assure a proper accounting for <br />all project funds. Data items which the Bidder will be required to submit to the City <br />included, but are not limited to: <br />(1) City provided original daily drivers' logs, which may include any of the following <br />information: <br />a, Vehicle trip origin <br />b. Scheduled leave time <br />c. Actual leave time <br />d. Each timed stop scheduled time <br />e. Each actual arrival and leave time <br />f. Each trip destination <br />g. Scheduled arrival time <br />h. Actual arrival and leave times <br />I. Scheduled hours of service <br />j. Actual hours of service <br />k. Ridership per vehicle trip, if required <br />I. Vehicle number <br />m. Driver's Name and Chauffeur Registration Number <br /> <br />3.4 TRAVEL TIME <br /> <br />The hourly rate billing shall commence once the driver arrives at the designated pick up site. <br />Travel time to the pickup site shall not be billed to the City. <br /> <br />3.5 VEHICLE INSPECTIONS <br /> <br />For each vehicle to be used in service, including subcontractor vehicles, the Bidder shall submit <br /> <br />PAGE 21 OF 28 <br />BID No. 11-05-02 <br />
