<br />Section 3 <br />Scope of Services I Technical Specifications <br /> <br />3.1 PURPOSE <br /> <br />The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to procure Construction <br />Administration and Project Management Services, Professional Consulting Services, <br />Geotechnical Inspections, and other Special Inspection services for services on two (2) <br />projects within the City of Sunny Isles Beach. <br /> <br />One project includes the demolition and construction of a new concrete pier and restaurant. The <br />second project consists of the construction of an emergency 263' concrete bridge (with renovated <br />approaches) over a canal. Both projects require an extensive comprehension of environmental <br />impacts and regulatory controls. <br /> <br />Typically, services are activated via an accrued hourly rate or negotiated fee on a project-by- <br />project, task-by-task basis, or via a negotiated fee for board-based services. At the sole <br />determination of the City, the City reserves the right to issue other solicitations for Construction <br />Administration, Professional Consulting, Geotechnical Engineering and Special Inspection services <br />during the term of the agreement resulting from this solicitation. <br /> <br />The City currently has two projects that will be covered under this RFQ. They are as follows: <br /> <br />1. Newport FishinQ Pier and Restaurant. This project was let as RFP 10-07-02 and <br />awarded to Shoreline Foundation Inc. in an amount not to exceed $3.78M.
