City of Sunny Isles Beach: Special Inspection Services RFO No. 11-07-11 c Vertical V Southeast Inc. is a full service laboratory capable of conducting all of the field and laboratory testing of construction materials required of this RFP and anticipated of this project which may include concrete, grout soils, aggregate, asphalt and other testing as may be requested by the City and URS staff during the progression of the work. Vertical V-Southeast, Inc. (Vertical V) is an local South Florida industry leader in technical services and solutions in the field of construction materials testing and inspections, and engineering consulting. Vertical V acquired the Materials Testing and Inspections Division from Bureau Veritas North America, Inc. in March 2010, and also formerly Intercounty- USL Laboratories, Inc. to strengthen its technical and professional resources in Materials Testing Quality Assurance services. Vertical V's President Alexander A. Hockman, P .E., has managed the South Florida operations since 1985. Other key personnel include Vice Presidents Mr. Alfredo Budik, P.E. and Mr. Lino Medina (each with extensive experience in Miami-Dade County). Vertical V employs engineers, scientists, technicians and support staff to provide quality engineering services in municipal, transportation, civil infrastructure, utilities, waterfront, airports, municipalities and private industry. . With eight drill rigs and an extensive inventory of conventional and specialized drilling and sampling equipment, Vertical V is able to complete exploration programs on land, over water, in areas with difficult terrain or locations with restricted access. IL can also provide for structural steel observation and testing and masonry testing.
