Jones joined URS in 1984 and has over 27 years of experience <br />providing on-site construction quality inspection, testing, site <br />development oversight, reporting on numerous earthwork and <br />foundation construction projects and in performing site <br />geotechnical investigations. Typical projects are described below. <br /> <br />Project Specific Experience <br /> <br />· Supervision and inspection of earthworks constructlon <br />for SF\X1MD Stormwater Treatment Area Projects STA 5 Flow way <br />3 and STJ\ 6 Section 2. Projects included the construction of over <br />17 miles of impoundment dams and seventeen (17) flow control <br />structures. <br />· With URS as the prime contractor, directed construction <br />efforts for a 34,000 cu. ft. roller compacted concrete dam in Banks <br />County, Georgia. <br />· Administered Construction Management Services for the <br />Southwest Transfer Station Utility Relocation Project, a Solid \X1aste <br />Authority contract in Delray Beach, Florida. Responsible for the <br />management of the construction contract, coordinating inspections <br />with the local agencies, review of change orders and for approval of <br />payment applications. Monitored the construction activities for the <br />placement of 0.75 mi. of 12" water main and 8" force main which <br />encompassed a jack and boring operation beneath a four lane <br />highway and an aerial crossing of a water body. 01/09-07/09. <br />· Construction inspection and compaction control for <br />over 7 miles of excavation and backfill including replacement of <br />flood control levees for installation of a 36" diameter high pressure <br />natural gas pipeline for Gulfstream Pipeline Co., Palm Beach Co., <br />Florida. <br />· Conducted subsurface investigation by means of static <br />cone penetration, test borings (recovery of disturbed and <br />undisturbed samples), rock coring techniques, exploratory trenches <br />and permeability tests for numerous projects throughout Florida. <br />· Classification and laboratory analysis of cohesive and <br />non-cohesive soil samples from eng1l1eering borings plus <br />performance monitoring of in situ testing in various engineering <br />projects throughout Florida, Bahamas and Caribbean Islands. <br />· Supervision of subsurface densification by means of <br />vibrocompaction and dynamic compaction throughout South <br />Florida and pressure grouting at L'Hermitage (Palm Beach, Florida) <br />and Williams Island Tower (North Miami, Florida). <br />
