The project included more than 1.1 miles of <br />elevated guideway, with a high-level bridge over the 11iami River. <br />\X1as also the structural Engineer of Record for the six stations, <br />two of which are high level, 8+ story stations on either side of the <br />River. Total project costs were $250M; the guideway and station <br />project costs on the Brickell Extension were $39M. The design <br />was fast-tracked and completed within one year, and was bid <br />$8.3M under the original construction budget. The total project <br />was completed on time and $25M under budget. This was the <br />Erst time a Federally-funded transit project was completed under <br />budget.
