Estimated <br />Construction cost: $ 1.5 M; Design Fee: $ 150,000; Completion Date: <br />2008. Milling and resurfacing project for 57th I\ve from SW 8th St to <br />Perimeter Road. Structural engineer for the barrier retrofit of the bridge <br />crossing the Tamiami Canal. New traffic railing barrier consisted of <br />FDOT Vertical Face Retrofit. <br /> <br />Louisiana Department of Transportation (LaDOT): New Benton <br />Road Railroad Overpass, Bossier City, LA (2006) Structural <br />Ent,>1neer for a 15 span concrete prestressed girder bridge crossing the <br />KCS railway. \Vork included design of superstructure which included <br />design of AASI-ITO Type III and Type IV Beams with spans ranging <br />from 56' to 112'. Bridge had multiple skewed bents throughout due to <br />existing site conditions beneath the bridge. Work also included review of <br />substructure design which was made up of pile bents. <br /> <br />c <br /> <br />Feasibility Study for a Rapid Transportation System. Taisei <br />Corporation, Japan (DMJM-Harris, 2002-2003), Different types of <br />bridge structures were considered to carry the loads and the very stringent <br />deflection requirements for a Magnetic Levitation Train. Optimum <br />structural types and spans were determined. Superstructures, piers and <br />foundation systems were designed in order to make cost comparisons. A <br />nOll-seismic region was considered for the study (Florida). <br /> <br />Bridge 4, Carolina Bays, Myrtle Beach, Sc.
