Responsible for implementation of extensive load test program <br />utilizing 36" square prestressed concrete piles. Installed embedded strain instrumentation in piles at casting yard, <br />perfonned 10 ST ATNAMICTM axial load tests to 2500 tons and also four(4)- 350 ton STA TNAMICTM lateral load <br />tests. <br /> <br />.., <br /> <br />APM Marine Terminal, Portsmouth. Virl!inia - One of the largest port facilities constructed in recent <br />history. Project included over one thousand 36 inch and 54 inch diameter, post tensioned, spun cast, <br />concrete cylinder piles. Installed multiple levels of strain instrumentation in eleven (II) test piles. <br />Monitored the embedded gages during post tensioning of the piles than again during pile driving and load <br />testing. Perfomled Axial ST A TNAMIC load tests up to 3,000 tons on all eleven (II) test piles. Eight test <br />piles were installed and load tested prior to any production piles and three additional production piles were <br />load tested to verify final pile installation criteria. Also performed pDA, CApW AI' and WEAl' on upwards <br />of 50 production piles. Perfonned 8 STA TNAM/CTM lateral load tests on pile groups (with 139 <br />strain gages). Performed static lateral load tests on pipe piles. drilled shalls. strain instrumented spun cast concrete <br />cylinder piles and square prestressed concrete piles. Apalachicola. FOOT - Four mile bridge connecting US 98 to St. George <br />Island. Involved in both the foundation repair contract and subsequent Design Build replacement bridge. Perfonned <br />PDA testing. CApW AI' and WEAl' analysis of 20 test piles during repair contract. 24 concrete piles were driven <br />through existing bridge to construct crutch bents. During design/build contract responsible for implementation of <br />extensive load test program utilizing 54" spun cast cylinder piles. Installed embedded strain instrumentation in piles <br />at casting yard. perlonned 10 STA TN.4 AI/crM load tests to 1600 tons and also four( 4)- 1.600 ton Static load tests. <br /> <br />r'1 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />r'l <br /> <br />San Pablo Creek Bridl!:e - Jacksonville. FOOT - Responsible Geotechnical Engineer during construction <br />phase of this major bridge crossing Intracoastal Waterway. Perfonned I'DA. CAPW AI' and WEAl' analysis of <br />31 test piles. Provided pile lengths, driving criteria recommendations and problem solving of various <br />construction challenges.
