Specialty Engineer

~

Analysis and design of bridge-mounted structures for Florida Turnpike Bridge,
Project # 97871-3398. In this project, Mr. Borojerdi designed a structural support
system to be attached to the bridge for the bridge-mounted support sign structures,
calculated all the reactions, designed the attachment, and selected the members for
the frame structures in order to receive the sign.

.

.,
.

...,
.

As a design engineer, Mr. Borojerdi was responsible for the design of the retaining
walls, which were supported by the pile foundation in Monroe County Project #
90060-3589. Mr. Borojerdi designed the pile foundation, calculated all the loading
and reactions and designed the wall and footings to support these cast-in-place
concrete retaining wal1s.

..,

.

Mr. Borojerdi also designed and drafted a fifty-foot AASHTO girder bridge in Opa
Locka, Florida. Mr.
Borojerdi was hired as a specialty engineer to the contractor when two of the
seven drill shafts on the project were found to be questionable. Mr. Borojerdi
wrote the scope for the EAR, performed the structural engineering analysis and
calculation for two of the shafts which were in question and, after the analysis,
modified the foundation by designing additional wings to the cast drill shaft in
order to meet the overturning moment requirement acceptable to FOOT. This
design and calculation was submitted, approved and certified by the specialty
engineer, Mr. Borojerdi.

.

...,

.

..,

.1

.....

.

~.
III

Tally Engineering, Inc.

Experience Highlights

More than 25 years of design,
inspection, and materials testing
services.

Corporate Office:
Pembroke Pines, Florida.

TIN: 86266685-000

FOOT Experience:
PE training program
1982-1983
Construction Project Engineer
1983-1985
Construction Area Engineer
1986-1988
Program Manager
1988-1990
Structural Design Engineer
1990-1994
QAlQC Manager
1994-1999
District Materials Engineer
1999-2003

Tally Engineering Experience:
2004-Present
Civil I Structural Engineering
Design, Laboratory and
Specialty Engineer

Education:
B.
