A vast <br />variety of Mr. Badri's public sector projects have included work on roadways, bridges, canals, schools, <br />healthcare facilities. Mr. Badri's public sector clients have included Florida Department of Transportation <br />(FOOT) (District IV, VI and Turnpike), Port(s) (Miami and Port Everglades), South Florida Water Management <br />District (SFWMD), School District(s) and engineering services for various Cities and Municipalities. Mr. Badri <br />was extensively involved in the field and laboratory testing phase for both the Port of Miami Tunnel <br />(Geotechnical Data Report) as well as the Florida Power & Light (FPL) transmission line across Biscayne Bay, <br />Both these projects involved undertaking over-water field activities in highly environmentally sensitive regions <br />and required substantial coordination with various permitting agencies, Mr. Badri is currently providing post- <br />design services on the Port of Miami Tunnel project. He has also been involved in several projects involving <br />problematic soil conditions, wherein ground improvement techniques were evaluated and resulted in <br />substantial project savings. As part of his MS degree curriculum at the University of Florida, Mr. Badri <br />performed extensive research on an FOOT managed project involving evaluation of axial capacity of large <br />diameter cylindrical piles. <br /> <br />Representative Project Experience <br /> <br />. SR 826/836 Interchange, Miami-Dade County, Florida - Project Geotechnical Engineer. The $560 <br />million project includes the reconstruction and widening along both S.R, 826 and S.R. 836, the <br />construction of a four-level interchange as well as the reconstruction/modifications of the Flagler Street! <br />S.R. 826 and the Milam Dairy Road/NW 72 Avenue/S.R. 836 interchanges. The work is scheduled to be <br />completed by Fall 2015. <br /> <br />. Port of Miami Tunnel, Geotechnical Data Report, Miami-Dade County, Florida. Project <br />Manager/Project Geotechnical Engineer. The project consists of a depressed roadway and tunnel <br />between Watson Island and Dodge Island beneath the Government Cut main channel in Biscayne Bay, to <br />provide improved access for cargo and passenger vehicles destined for the Port of Miami. PSI's services <br />included a geotechnical study to obtain data regarding the general subsurface conditions near the <br />proposed alignments by means of exploratory borings, as well as laboratory testing of the collected soil <br />and rock samples. <br /> <br />.
