. TAB 2: QUALIFICATIONS With our personal assurance, WLI offers to provide the City with a distinct level of Special Inspection Services, including Geotechnical/Construction Administration. With proven experience in regards to the requested services and our ability to understand the City's needs, we believe WLI is a worthy choice. If given the opportunity, we will work diligently to earn the City's trust and respect by delivering consistently professional and timely infOlmation that will assist with the successful completion of various proj ects. Our primary goal is to become your engineering consultant of choice. ) WLI has carefully reviewed the submittal requirements to enable us to provide a compliant response in order to provide the Special Inspection Services, including Geotechnical and Construction Administration that the City requires specifically in regards to the Newport Fishing Pier and Restaurant and the NOlih Bay Road Bridge proj ects. We understand the scope of services requested to include the following. CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION & PROJECT MANAGEMENT SERVICES ~ >- Support the City Project Manager in activities related to the construction contract and administration of the same. >- Perform tasks delegated or assigned by the City Project manager to ensure that the project is completed by the Contractor in accordance to the plans, specifications, and contract documents. >- Perform a review of construction/service schedules, progress payments, requests change orders, shops, submittals, requests for infOlmation, and other tasks required by the City that may impact the schedule of construction or completion of the project as required by the Contract. >- Review and coordinate Contractor RFI's, submittals and shop drawings to the Architect of Record and/or Prime Consultant and to ensure they are acted upon by the designated reviewing entity, and maintain a log to track submittals >- Perform quality control and assurance observations, as well as, the ability to read, comprehend, and interpret testing laboratory repOlis, inspection logs, vibration monitoring results, substantial completion inspection, puncWist creation and follow-up, final completion inspection, project certification stating that the work is in substantial compliance with the plans and specifications. >- Provide a consistent on-site presence to ensure quality of work and project timeline >- Perform safety observations and report unsafe conditions. >- Conduct meetings according to the requirements of the Project including the weekly progress meetings. Prepare notes recording open issues and actions required. >- Monitor construction progress, construction schedule, and constl1.lction budget expenditures. Assist City PM review Contractor's certified payables submittals, review and recommend approval of Contractor's application for payment, and review and recommend approval of Change Orders and related documents. .
