<br />Summary Minutes: Regular City Commission Meeting January 15, 2004 <br /> <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach, Rorida <br /> <br />ordinance, as amended. Ordinance No. 2004-192 was adopted by a roll call vote of 5- <br />o in favor. <br />Vote: Commissioner Brezin yes <br />Commissioner Iglesias yes <br />Commissioner Thaler yes <br />Vice Mayor Goodman yes <br />Mayor Ede1cup yes <br /> <br />9. RESOLUTIONS <br /> <br />9A. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Urging <br />the Miami-Dade County Transportation Authority to Eliminate the Bus Stop at <br />Galahad-Dade Boulevard that Services the "S" Bus and the "E" Bus, to Eliminate a <br />Dangerous U-Turn Configuration; Authorizing the City Manager to Do All Things <br />Necessary to Effectuate the Terms of this Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and Mayor Ede1cup reported. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: none <br /> <br />Commissioner Thaler noted that there was an accident today at around 1 :30 p.m., where a <br />bus was making a U-Turn on Collins A venue and was hit by a car, and he knows of eight <br />accidents that have happened prior to today, He also noted that this will do away with <br />the bus only lane. Vice Mayor Goodman said that has been a bad comer since he has <br />been Commissioner, and that they had the school bus moved from where they were <br />picking up the kids because it was a dangerous situation. Mayor Ede1cup thanked Vice <br />Mayor Goodman as Chair of the Transportation Committee for working on this particular <br />project. <br /> <br />Commissioner Thaler moved and Vice Mayor Goodman seconded a motion to approve <br />the resolution. Resolution No. 2004-630 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> <br />9B. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, <br />Reappointing Judge Marshall Ader (Retired), Judge Robert Newman (Retired) and <br />Darcee Siegel as Special Masters, for a Period of One Year, in Accordance with <br />Ordinance No. 2001-141; Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title and City Attorney Dannheisser reported. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: none <br /> <br />Commissioner Iglesias moved and Commissioner Thaler seconded a motion to approve <br />the resolution.
