An Ordinance of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Amending Chapter 197, Entitled "Occupational License and Tax" by Renaming Said Chapter to "Local Business Tax" in Compliance with Florida State Law; Establishing a Schedule of Fees for New Business Categories; Providing for New Administrative Penalties; Providing for Repealer, Severability and an Effective Date. (First Reading 2/15/07) Action: City Clerk Hines read the title and Mayor Edelcup noted that this is second reading for changing the name from Occupational License and Tax to "Local Business Tax". Public Speakers: None Vice Mayor Thaler moved and Commissioner Iglesias seconded a motion to adopt the ordinance. Ordinance No. 2007-279 was adopted by a roll call vote of 5-0 in favor. An Ordinance ofthe City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Changing the 2007 Election Date from Tuesday, November 13,2007, to Tuesday, November 6, 2007, Pursuant to a Request Made by the Miami-Dade Elections Department; Establishing December 4, 2007, as the Run-Off Election Date; Providing for Severability; Providing for Repealer; Providing for an Effective Date. (First Reading 2/15/07) Action: City Clerk Hines read the title and Mayor Ede1cup noted that this is making our Elections coincide with the County-wide election.
