MDT is the <br />grantee of the Federal Transit Administration (FT A). All sub-recipients are required to <br />have a Drug-Free Workplace Program Policy that includes specific elements covered in <br />the FTA Regulations 49CFR Part 655. <br /> <br />In sum, the policy must contain the following elements: <br /> <br />. Approval by governing board or other "final authority" for the agency <br />· Identity of contact person <br />· Employee categories subject to testing <br />· Prohibited behavior <br />. Testing policy & procedures (employees testing requirements) <br />. Behavior that constitutes a refusal to submit to a test <br />. Consequences for an employee who has a verified positive test result <br />.
