DSNY is the world's largest
sanitation department, collecting over 12,000 tons of refuse and recyclables per day. In addition
to basic vehicle location, the system incorporated a number of sensors on the vehicle to detect
discrete events such as activity of the hopper, activation of an emergency button, airbag
deployment and other activity. The collected data also allows management personnel the ability
to generate reports identifying significant activities as well as real -time alerts /notifications of
activities meeting specified criteria.
Municipal Police Service Project, Hardware Quality Assurance
In partnership with a Major Systems Integrator, an implementation of 2500 InterFleet® Dead
reckoning GPS MDU's (mobile data units) for deployment in a large North American municipal
police service.
COMBAT, Hardware Quality Assurance
Implementation of a GPS /AVL system for the Franklin County (Ohio) Engineer's Office. The
GPS /AVL system will be used by the Central Ohio Management Based Applied Technology
(COMBAT) collaborative. COMBAT is composed of the City of Columbus and Franklin County
Engineers Office with Franklin County acting as lead agency for the project. The system is
connected to a Dataradio private radio system to transmit vehicle information to two command
centers - one hosted by the City of Columbus and the other by Franklin County Engineers
Office. The project contains a GIS map update in compliance with the Central Ohio Regional
ITS Architecture. Using these map updates with InterFleet's patented browser -based software,
COMBAT members have access to live information on snow and ice operations, mowing
operations and street sweeping operations among others.
Ryan Brooks Support Desk Manager
Experience Summary
✓ 6 years of professional experience with Support Desk for GPS Systems.
✓ Configuration and setup of DHCP and TCP /IP networks.
✓ Programming knowledge of Java, Microsoft Visual Basic, C and C + +, COBOL, and Unix
script writing.
✓ System Installation Experience, including pre -site assessment of technological architecture
and risks, implementation of hardware, servers, terminals, etc., as well as implementation of
TCP /IP Networks, routers, and switches /hubs.
✓ Implementation of Desjardins integrated debit system, including MYSQL, and TL3000
software installation and eN -CRYPT 1200 Pinpad connection.
✓ Proficient with Microsoft Windows 2000 /XP /Vista, and Office suite, as well as PC Hardware
and Software Installation and Configuration.
Professional Experience
InterFleetInc .......................................................... ............................... 2010 — Present
Support Desk Manager, Toronto, ON
FIDEN is document contains information that is proprietary to n er ee nc. se 0
or disclosure of any material contained herein without the consent of InterFleet Inc. is strictly prohibited.
