simplify the initial launch communications, promotion materials, media <br />communications, and driver training. <br />The following decisions will need to be made: <br />❑ What level of Fit PickTm nutritional criteria is appropriate for each <br />organization? (See Appendix D for comparison of criteria). <br />❑ Will beverage machines be included in the initial launch? <br />❑ What percentage of vending capacity will be dedicated to Fit PickTM? <br />(Refer to "Vending Basics" Tip #2). <br />❑ Which type and location of Fit PickTm stickers and clings will be used? <br />(See Appendix F). <br />❑ When will the program be launched? <br />❑ Do individual organizations plan to call out nutritional criteria and <br />other considerations in their vending contracts? (see sample policies <br />in Appendices C & D). <br />❑ Who will field questions /comments and monitor machines for <br />accuracy at each organization during the launch? <br />Step 4 — Prepare <br />Work with organizational partners to plan a promotional campaign to <br />launch Fit PickTm. <br />❑ Enlist individual sites to conduct product sampling events to help <br />identify favorite Fit PickTm products and to build anticipation (See How <br />to Conduct a Taste Test in Appendix F). <br />❑ Print or create launch materials that can be posted community -wide <br />(go to www.fitpick.org for print -ready graphics and <br />www.balancedforlife.net for fliers, games and other support <br />materials). <br />❑ Prepare a monitoring form to collect information (see Fit Pick <br />Monitoring Log in Appendix H). <br />❑ The Launch Preparation Worksheet (Appendix O) can be used as a <br />checklist for preparation - especially helpful in multi -site organizations. <br />Step 5 — Promote «nthin Partner Organizations <br />❑ Prior to installation, build anticipation using promotional ideas in the <br />section on Fit PickTM Promotion. <br />❑ Launch your promotional campaign before or simultaneously with Fit <br />PickTM installation. <br />14 <br />
