C I T Y OF S U N N Y I S L E S B E A C <br />T R A F F I C E N G I N E E R I N G S E R V 1 C E S <br />STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS: <br />i This agency is now known as the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). A permit from this <br />agency is required by any agency proposing to construct projects permitted under the "General Permit for <br />Construction of an Extension to a Public Drinking Water Distribution System" pursuant to Rule 62- 555.540, <br />Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.). Also, a permit from the DEP must be submitted for projects not <br />permitted under the general permit procedures and criteria specified in Rule 17- 604.700, The applicability <br />of requirements to new facilities and modifications of existing facilities is described in Chapter 17 -604 <br />F.A.C. <br />SOUTH FLORIDA WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT: <br />This agency permits all activities related to stormwater management systems and environmental resource <br />(dredge and fill) activities; although in Miami -Dade County the stormwater management systems are <br />permitted through DERM. The RJ BEHAR Team has permitted and worked closely with the South Florida <br />Water Management District (SFWMD). <br />STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION: <br />The FDOT requires permits for roadway and site development projects which connect to an FDOT <br />designated roadway. A Driveway Connection permit and /or a Drainage Connection permit may be <br />required. The RJ Behar Team has recently obtained such a permit on the Palm Avenue and E. 1St Avenue <br />projects, both which connect to state roads. Drainage Connection permits will comply with FDOT Rule 14- <br />86, F.A.C. In order to have a permit issued, the applicant must show that the proposed drainage system will <br />be designed, constructed, operated and maintained in conformance with the criteria described in the FDOT <br />"Handbook for Drainage Connection Permit ", February 1987. Many of our staff members are former FDOT <br />employees and are very familiar with FDOT Standards and Specifications. <br />CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING AND INSPECTION (CEI) SERVICES <br />RJ Behar is certified by FDOT in Construction Engineering Inspections Services. RJ Behar offers a full <br />range of construction engineering services. These services range from providing Construction Engineering <br />& Inspection (CE &I) to providing on -call site engineering services for land development and municipal <br />projects. The key to our success in providing <br />contract administration service includes: proper <br />interpretation of the construction bid documents, <br />maintaining detailed documentation throughout <br />the construction, documenting change orders <br />and quantity revisions, documenting changes in <br />field conditions and being responsive. <br />Our proposed team members are all trained <br />and certified, They are familiar with all of the A w <br />required contract provisions for construction ®'"M_. <br />contracts including all monitoring and <br />reporting requirements, contract and project <br />billing documentation. We provide both infrastructure inspection as well as building inspection services.
