C I T Y OF S U N N Y I S L E S B E A C H <br />T R A F F I C E N G I N E E R I N G S E R V I C E S <br />NORTH BROWARD COUNTY NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT — BROWARD COUNTY WATER & <br />WASTEWATER DEPARTMENT <br />Drainage Engineer — She was in charge of designing, and proposed installation of a comprehensive stormwater <br />management system, for a portion of the North Broward County Neighborhood Improvement Project (NCNIP). This <br />project included assessment of the existing drainage system, identifying problem areas, and offering a suitable solution <br />for existing flood problems. She also prepared the permit package including SFWMD, FDOT and Broward County. <br />DISTRICT ENGINEERS PERMIT REVIEWS — CENTRAL BROWARD WATER CONTROL DISTRICT <br />Technical Support — Provided hydrologic - hydraulic expertise and reviewed technical issues regarding proposed projects <br />SHADY BANKS /SEPTIC AREA NUMBER 5 — CITY OF FORT LAUDERDALE, FL <br />Project Engineer for the conversion of a septic system community to a sanitary sewer system. She also prepared the <br />water permit package. <br />SISTRUNK BOULEVARD FROM FEDERAL HIGHWAY TO 27th AVENUE — CITY OF FORT LAUDERDALE, FL <br />Project Engineer who prepared contract documents for over 2 miles of new water lines; prepared all the design <br />calculation, cost estimates specifications and water permit package. <br />HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD (SR -820) FROM SR -A1A TO US -1 — FDOT DISTRICT 4 <br />Drainage Engineer - Ms. Aponte worked on the design of drainage improvements for the project. <br />TURNPIKE WIDENING JOHNSON STREET TO GRIFFIN ROAD — FDOT TURNPIKE ENTERPRISE <br />Drainage Engineer — This project was to widen the Turnpike mainline from 6 to 8- lanes. This project involved milling, <br />resurfacing and widening of the Turnpike, which included the Stormwater Management design of all surrounding area of <br />this highway portion and the highway itself. Ms. Aponte worked on the drainage design and permitting packages. <br />KROME AVENUE BRIDGE HYDRAULIC REPORT (BHR) MIAMI -DADE COUNTY, FL — FDOT, DISTRICT 6 <br />Hydraulic Analysis — She designed drainage Hydraulic alternatives for the bridge crossing the Miami Canal C -6 at SR- <br />997 Krome Avenue using the HEC -RAS model. <br />NAUTILIUS NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENTS — CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FL <br />Drainage Designer — She performed Hydraulic modeling using AdICPR model for design of storm sewer and injection <br />wells systems. <br />MIRAMAR CANAL SYSTEM EVALUATION — CITY OF MIRAMAR, FL <br />Project Engineer — She performed the site evaluations to determine the existing conditions of the canal system. She <br />evaluated the drainage basin, siltation and deterioration of seawalls. Ms. Aponte performed basin evaluation using the <br />AdICPR model. She studied the canal system interaction with the TURNPIKE /HEFT interchange drainage system. <br />ESTERO BAY NUTRIENT LOAD ASSESSMENT — SOUTH FLORIDA WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT <br />Ms. Aponte assessed and developed a nutrient load assessment model for planners, regulators and local stakeholders <br />to evaluate various alternatives to protect and enhance water quality within the basin and related impacts on Estero Bay <br />using the WAMView model. <br />CENTRAL BROWARD WATER CONTROL DISTRICT ENGINEER SERVICES — BROWARD COUNTY, FL <br />Drainage Engineer — She is responsible for the district reviews of drainage, engineering and as -built plans. <br />Responsibilities for plans review involves ensuring that the Central Broward Water Control District ( CBWCD) engineering <br />criteria is met and provide review comments as necessary. Site visits are performed as necessary. Coordination is <br />maintained with CBWCD in order to ensure that site development requirements are met. <br />ASSESSMENT OF WATER MANAGEMENT PRACTICES WITHIN THE FOUR PRIORITY BASINS OF THE LAKE <br />OKEECHOBEE WATERSHED — SOUTH FLORIDA WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT <br />Project Engineer for the assessment of BMP's for different land uses within the Lake Okeechobee Watershed for the <br />reduction of phosphorus using the WAMView model. <br />NW 7th /9th AVENUE CONNECTOR, PROJECT DEVELOPMENT & ENVIRONMENTAL STUDY — CITY OF FORT <br />LAUDERDALE, BROWARD COUNTY, FL/FDOT, DISTRICT 4 <br />Environmental Engineer — She performed the re- evaluation of the contamination screening and evaluation report in <br />accordance with FDOT /PD &E 23 CFR 771. The re- evaluation identified significant environmental impacts, which may <br />have changed after previous environmental reports. Conclusions and recommendations were also provided in order to <br />continue to the next project phase or Phase II of the Environmental Assessment before project execution. <br />NW 107th AVENUE FEASIBILITY STUDY — MIAMI -DADE COUNTY, FL <br />Environmental Engineer — The purpose of the study was to provide an evaluation of feasibility for extending the NW 10711 <br />Avenue corridor from the northern terminus at NW 138th Street to NW 1061h Street.
