QUALIFICATIONS i PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS RJ Behar offers an extremely qualified group of individuals whose qualifications, experience and capabilities are especially suited for the development of the project requested in this contract. We have assembled a team of seasoned professionals with supporting staff members to undertake any assignment that could come up in this Request for Qualifications for Traffic Engineering Services. Our team has successfully completed similar engineering contracts for various government and municipal agencies. Several projects of the proposed team have received or have been nominated to receive engineering or architectural awards. We pride ourselves in meeting our client's needs through the use of proper project management and an extensive quality assurance program. We incorporate, in- house, all the major disciplines required to serve the City of Sunny Isles Beach. These services include: Roadway /Highway Design, Traffic, Transportation Planning Engineering, Civil Engineering, Water Resources and Stormwater Master Planning, Environmental Engineering as well as Construction Engineering and Inspection services. We provide the design of paving drainage, water distribution systems and sanitary sewer systems associated with land development projects. We are experienced in obtaining permits from state agencies such as the Water Management Districts, Department of Environmental Protection, the Florida Department of Transportation, Health Department and numerous City and County agencies thought South Florida. Our engineers bring a wealth of expertise as well as over 37 years of experience in the engineering field. ROADWAY DESIGN Our staff has extensive roadway design experience, most of which began from including design of major arterial roadways such as: NW 87th Avenue in Miami -Dade County, Powerline Road (SR -845) in Boca Raton, SR -A1A in Palm Beach County, Alton Road (SR -907) in Miami Beach, SW 27th Avenue (SR -9) in Miami, Kendall Drive (SR -94) in Kendall, Okeechobee Road (SR -25) in Hialeah Gardens and Andrews Avenue in Pompano Beach. We also have roadway design experience on local city streets such as W. 33rd Street, W. 74th Street in the City of Hialeah, W. 44th Street in the City of Lauderdale Lakes, E. Palomino Drive & SW 62nd Court in the Town of Southwest Ranches, Bayshore Drive in the City of Miami, NW 13th Street & NE 15th Avenue in the City of Fort Lauderdale and 19 miles of street resurfacing in the City of Tamarac. Our comprehensive roadway design services include: geometric design, signing and marking design, signalization design, lighting design, utility coordination and traffic control plans. In addition, RJ Behar has extensive experience in the design of modern roundabouts. We have provided contract documents for several roundabouts. Roundabouts were designed at Palm Avenue /E. 17th Street in the City of Hialeah, NE 15th Avenue /NE 18th Street in the City of Fort Lauderdale, SW 176th Street and NW 146th Street in Miami -Dade County. FREEWAY DESIGN Our staff has a wide freeway design experience including design of interstate facilities, major urban expressways and toll facilities. RJ Behar's capabilities include geometric design, signing and marking, drainage design, traffic control plans, structural design, rest areas and toll plazas. Recent projects include: 1 -75 1Griffin Road Interchange, 1 -95 3R and 1 -95 HOV lane additions in Palm Beach County, Turnpike Safety Improvement in Miami -Dade & Broward Counties, Turnpike widening in Broward County, Memorial Causeway in the City of Clearwater, SR -836 Dolphin Expressway, SR -874 Don Shula Expressway, Gratigny Expressway Resurfacing, SR -80 Turnpike Interchange and the 1 -95 Pump Station. 1] R.j.Behar R.
