APPROACH/ MET HOLOGY <br />METHOLOGY AND APPROACHES USED IN ACHIEVING TASKS <br />During the early stages of project development, RJ Behar will seek to obtain input from the City's Staff and end <br />users. Regardless of the goals, input during early development will ensure that a quality product is delivered to <br />the City. RJ Behar will also seek to define the cost of all the goals identified and provide the City a preliminary <br />cost estimate to validate programmed funding within the City's budget process. RJ Behar understands the <br />need to provide accurate cost estimates for the development of capital improvement budgeting, <br />Our management approach is to meet with the City's Project Managers and thoroughly integrate our <br />procedures with that of the City and their process. <br />RJ Behar's project approach is as follows: <br />1. The Principal -in- Charge is responsible for the overall successful completion, in terms of quality, timeliness, <br />and budget. MR. ROBERT J. BEHAR, P.E. will serve as Principal -in- Charge. He is the firms' president and <br />quality control officer <br />2. The Project Manager is responsible for the overall successful completion, in terms of quality, timeliness, <br />and budget. MR. JAVIER RODRIGUEZ, P.E. will serve as project manager. The project manager is <br />responsible for the preparation of the scope of services, procedure, staffing, work plan, schedules, <br />estimated fee, and will have direct responsibility of the task completion. <br />3, As the task/assignment is identified and the City requires our services, the team will be assembled for the <br />specific task. The team will include those disciplines required to the successful completion of the task. <br />After approval from the City of the scope and work plan, we will proceed with the project development and <br />preparation of deliverables. <br />WORK PLAN IMPLEMENTATION <br />The work plans for the various projects and task orders under consideration may vary greatly. RJ Behar <br />believes that a project will be successful if it is well- organized to begin with; people are properly informed as to <br />their responsibilities, schedules and budgets. Therefore, RJ Behar places a large emphasis upon the initial <br />steps of the project on its first tasks: <br />TASK 1 — KIcK -OFF AND PROJECT COORDINATION — This task includes a meeting (Kick -off) meeting with all <br />relevant team members to discuss the scope, work plan, schedules. It serves to insure that all team members <br />are in consonance and working towards the same goal. Project coordination will continue with meetings at the <br />major milestones for the project. <br />TASK 2 — INFORMATION GATHERING AND MAPPING — This is an extremely important phase of any project. <br />Information for the planning area and infrastructure data will be gathered and mapped. All information and <br />data will be provided to the City in electronic format. <br />TASK 3 — DATA COLLECTION — This is an extremely important phase of any project. Information for the planning <br />area and infrastructure data will be gathered and mapped. Of course, the following will be modified <br />appropriately for the specific task order.
