3501 North Ocean Drive <br />Hollywood, FL 33019 <br />(954) 922 -6491 <br />Fax (954) 922 -8988 <br />August 28, 2009 <br />Re: Letter of Reference <br />Positano Condominium <br />Hollywood, Broward County <br />To Whom It May Concern: <br />This letter is being written at the request of Consulting <br />Engineering & Science, Inc. to provide a letter of reference in <br />association with their work on the above referenced project, <br />The Positano Condominium was a three phase project situated between <br />the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, within a major <br />redevelopment area in the City of Hollywood. The project included <br />a new luxury condominium building adjacent to the Hollywood public <br />boardwalk; renovation of a marina complex along the Intracoastal <br />Waterway; and, a new low rise residential /office complex. <br />Consulting Engineering & Science, Inc. was the Civil /Site and <br />Coastal engineering consultant for these projects. Their <br />responsibilities included the planning, permitting and design of <br />the site improvements; and, the planning, environmental permitting <br />and design of the marina renovations. Civil /Site /Coastal design <br />fees for this project were over $300,000; and, the total <br />construction cost was over $50 million. Design work began in 2002 <br />and construction was generally completed in 2008. <br />Consulting Engineering & Science, Inc =s participation in this <br />project has been a major factor in its success. Their ability to <br />deal with a multitude of regulatory agencies; and, their knowledge <br />and understanding of Federal, State and local environmental <br />regulatory issues were paramount.
