Broward College Campus -Wide Master Planning, Broward County, FL — Served as project analyst. KHA provided utility planning services at Broward College Central, North, and downtown Fort Lauderdale campuses. The KHA team has provided a compilation of the utility information collected from Broward College staff via meetings and existing plans; conducted an overall assessment of conditions and life expectancy of the respective utilities; assessed the existing utilities (water, sanitary sewer, and drainage) to determine demands and required improvements based on the 5 -year and 10 -year buildout of the campuses; assisted in phasing and scheduling of utility improvements; and reviewed and made recommendations for LEED° enhancements. In addition, Kimley -Horn provided an overall assessment of existing landscape materials, provided recommendations for enhancements, and assisted in providing estimated costs and budgets for required landscape improvements. The City and its Community AutoCAD (versions 2005 -2011) Redevelopment Agency (CRA) adopted the Downtown Delray Beach Master and MATLAB Plan, and one of its key elements is a reconfiguration of the two one -way Professional Credentials segments of US 1 from three lanes to two. Kimley -Horn evaluated potential Bachelor of Science, Civil changes to the lane configuration along southbound and northbound Engineering, University of Florida segments of US 1. We developed alternatives, forecasted future traffic volumes for review with the City and the CRA, and led several public involvement : Professional Organizations workshops. Temporary improvements were installed to study the real -world American Society of Civil ;Engineering effects of fewer and narrower lanes. In 2010, the CRA asked KHA to move forward with designs for permanent improvements. Professional services will be completed in 2011, with anticipated construction commencement in 2012. City residents and visitors will soon enjoy the benefits of on- street, buffered parking; slower speeds and a safer, more pedestrian - friendly environment; rq j landscaping beautification and decorative, environmentally - sensitive street lighting; bicycle lanes; and a new sense of continuity with the Downtown area.
