Chris Falce, E.I., LEED° AP
Relevant Experience cont.
Miami Dade College Wolfson Campus Student Support Center, Miami, FL — Provided assistance with
LEED® /sustainability issues. As a subconsultant to another firm, Kimley -Horn is providing civil engineering and
transportation /traffic services related to the Student Support Center, a 6 -story, ±78,000- square -foot facility
within Miami Dade College's Wolfson Campus. The project includes dining and food court areas, classrooms, a
film archive center, student union, and fitness /wellness center. The MDC Wolfson Campus is unique in that it is
located within a highly dense urban area in the heart of Downtown Miami. The project site is a 0.52 -acre property
bounded by public roads, an existing restaurant building, and Miami -Dade Transit's Metromover. Since the building
essentially takes up most of the property, some of the challenges included the need to be space- efficient with
utilities and drainage, as well as close coordination with other team members to avoid conflicts and properly
accommodate all project features within such limited space. Another challenge was pedestrian safety in crossing
NE 2nd Avenue, a very busy downtown arterial. This was achieved by providing landscaping and street furniture
along the edge of the road to channel pedestrians to specific crossing points at intersection crosswalks. KHA's
services include design and development of construction drawings, sustainability, permitting, coordination with
MDC's selected "CM at Risk," and construction phase services.
West Sunset Square, Kendall, FL — Civil engineering analyst. Kimley -Horn provided a variety of consulting
services for this 83,000- square -foot neighborhood center including site planning, civil engineering, roadway design,
traffic signal design, permitting, and construction phase services. This project required significant coordination with
multiple county agencies. Perhaps the most challenging aspect of the project was its location within the Bird Drive
Everglades Wetland Basin (BDEWB). Due to a lack of sufficient surface water storage within the BDEWB, there were
restrictions on the development of the site. Through our local experience and relationships with the Miami -Dade
Department of Environmental Resources Management, Kimley -Horn was able to implement an innovative solution
to meet the development criteria thereby allowing our client to fully develop the site.
TD Bank (formerly Commerce Bank), Miami -Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties, FL — Analyst and
LEED° advisor for the Kimley -Horn team that has provided a range of site civil services, environmental design,
landscape design, transportation planning, and traffic engineering for this retail bank program in Florida. The firm
has investigated more than 300 South Florida locations, and designed and permitted more than 60 sites. TD Bank
has made sustainable design a priority and seeks LEED® certification for many of their new branches.
EM" Kimley -Horn
TR3000164. 11- o_SunnylslesBch_TESresumes.indd and Associates.
