<br />) <br /> <br />NE 173rd Street Right of Way Improvements, North Miami Beach, FL <br /> <br />Chen Moore and Associates prepared right-of-way improvement plans for NE 173rd Street from West <br />Dixie Highway to NE 23rd Avenue within an existing residential community. The design included <br />storm~~ter improveme~ts, g <br />formalizmg of onstreet parkmg, . . <br />traffic/roadway modifications, <br />sidewalks with ADA grading <br />considerations and preserving and <br />incorporating existing trees and <br />resident requests. This project also <br />included the design of a traffic circle <br />to provide traffic calming as well as <br />streetscape beautification with a <br />stamped concrete apron and <br />landscaping. The design plans were <br />permitted via the City of North Miami <br />Beach, Miami-Dade County <br />Department of Environmental <br />Resources Management and Miami-Dade County Public Works Traffic Engineering Department. Services <br />included design, permitting, bidding assistance and limited construction administration services. <br /> <br />CMA has worked with the City on a number of additional projects under our continuing services contract <br />providing similar roadway and stormwater engineering services as well other services. The project encompasses approximately 11,000 LF of ROW infrastructure <br />improvements including watermain replacements, stormwater drainage improvements, paving and <br />grading, streetscaping enhancements and roadway reconstruction. The project also required extensive <br />coordination with the public, the homeowners association, and various regulatory agency. <br /> <br />As part of the project stormwater and drainage services, extensive analysis was conducted utilizing ICPR <br />modeling and GIS to meet and/or exceed required stormwater Level of Service standards. The proposed <br />stormwater design included the introduction of catch basins and stormwater piping to effectively collect <br />and route the stormwater to 11 existing outfalls to Biscayne Bay.
