E. is a project manager and leads <br />Chen Moore and Associates' Miami office. <br />Previously, Mr. Acosta served as the director of <br />engineering, senior project manager and senior <br />engineer for a regional multi-disciplinary firm. <br />He served as both the director of engineering <br />and service manager for five south Florida <br />offices where he was responsible for a staff of <br />over 50 staff members. <br /> <br />Project Experience <br />Miami lakes lake Patricia Roadway & <br />Drainage Improvements. Chen Moore and <br />Associates is implementing drainage <br />improvements identified on the most recent <br />Town of Miami Lakes Stormwater Master Plan <br />for approximately one square mile of an existing <br />residential neighborhood near Lake Patricia in <br /> <br />southern Miami Lakes near Ludlam Road. <br />Services include utility coordination, schematic <br />and final design phases, government <br />permitting, bidding assistance, construction <br />administration and statements of work <br />completion. The final design included <br />approximately 1,900 LF of exfiltration trench <br />and rehabilitation/upsizing of 6 existing outfalls. <br />CMA is also assisting Miami Lakes with the <br />acquisition of potential grant opportunities for <br />funding the construction of the proposed <br />improvements. <br /> <br />Monterra Development Solano Avenue <br />Roadway Design and Construction <br />Administration. Chen Moore and Associates <br />designed an over half-mile long roadway that <br />connects Sheridan Street and University Drive, <br />mixed-use residential areas and the Town <br />Center component of the Monterra Development <br />in Cooper City. Solano Avenue was designed to <br />create a relationship between the mixed-use <br />residential, Town Center, pedestrian walkways, <br />parallel parking and green spaces to promote <br />walkability, social interaction and give the area <br />a sense of community. This required a variance <br />to reduce and relocate the required berm along <br />the property frontage to the roadways. Chen <br />Moore and Associates' services included <br />roadway, drainage, earthwork and utility <br />design; government permitting including PMUD <br />rezoning; conducting public bidding for the <br />Monterra Community Development District <br />(CDD); construction observation and closeout <br />services. <br /> <br />Miami Gardens NW 19th Ave To NW 21st <br />Ave: from NW 191 Tr. To NW 26th St. Chen <br />Moore and Associates (CMA) was asked by the <br />City of Miami Gardens to design the stormwater <br />improvements for the residential area from NW <br />19th Avenue to NW 21st Avenue and from NW <br />191 Tr to NW 26th Street. The design had a <br />total construction budget of over $350,000 per <br />a grant received by the City.
