CMA is also assisting Miami Lakes with the acquisition of potential grant opportunities for funding the construction of the proposed improvements. Miami Beach Sunset Islands 1 & 2. Chen Moore and Associates designed stormwater, water main, and roadway improvements for the City of Miami Beach Sunset Islands 1 & 2 neighborhood. As part of the proposed storm water and drainage services, extensive analysis was conducted utilizing ICPR Modeling and GIS to meet and/or exceed required storm water Level of Service standards. The proposed stormwater design included the introduction of catch basins, exfiltration trench and stormwater piping to effectively collect storm water, provide water quality treatment and route the stormwater to existing overflow outfalls to Biscayne Bay. As part of the project, an existing condition assessment of the existing )outfalls was conducted and rehabilitation and upsizing of the existing outfalls as required was proposed. This stormwater project due to its outfall to Biscayne Bay required extensive permitting coordination with Miami-Dade County DERM, South Florida Water Management District and the US Army Corps of Engineers. Village of Pinecrest SW 73rd Rd from SW 93rd Tr to SW 72 Ave. Chen Moore and Associates assisted with drainage improvements for SW 73rd Rd. Chen Moore and Associates also developed an ICPR Model to determine maximum flood elevation, provided a technical memorandum and submitted final plans. Chen Moore and Associates worked with the Village of Pinecrest to review existing conditions and evaluate the existing stormwater Level of Service (LOS) within the SW 73rd Road residential neighborhood from SW 93rd Terrace to SW 72nd Avenue due to resident concerns. CMA conducted an analysis of the area, provided recommendations for drainage improvements to meet Village LOS standards, and provided full design, permitting and construction document preparation services. As part of the project, CMA also assisted the Village in conducting public information meetings and evaluating the bids received. North Miami Beach NE 168th Street Roadway Improvements. Chen Moore and Associates provided consulting engineering services for the NE 168 Street (between NE 18 Avenue and NE 19 Avenue) and NE 18 Avenue (between NE 168 Street and NE 169 Street) right of way improvements. The scope of the project included addressing drainage concerns, providing new curbing and street paving, replacing/adding sidewalks, providing new paved parking areas which were gravel, and providing landscaping areas for future plantings to be completed by the City. Miami Gardens NW 38th Ct Drainage Improvements. Chen Moore and Associates designed stormwater improvements for the residential area of NW 38th Avenue to NW 38th Place & NW 208th Street to NW 209th Street. The design had a total construction budget of $175,000 per a grant received by the City. CMA evaluated the existing site conditions to strategically design roadway, drainage and sidewalk improvements to meet the most critical needs of the City and maximize the value of their construction budget. The project scope included government permitting, bidding services and construction administration to support the efforts of City staff. Village of Pinecrest SW 64th Ct Drainage Improvements. Chen Moore and Associates worked with the Village of Pinecrest to review existing conditions and evaluate the existing stormwater Level of Service (LOS) within the SW 64th Court residential cul-de-sac neighborhood south of Kendall Drive due to resident concerns.
