CH~RE ) &ASSOCIATES Miami Beach Sunset Islands 1 & 2. Chen Moore and Associates designed stormwater, water main, and roadway improvements for the City of Miami Beach Sunset Islands 1 & 2 neighborhood. As part of the proposed storm water and drainage services, extensive analysis was conducted utilizing ICPR Modeling and GIS to meet and/or exceed required storm water Level of Service standards. The proposed stormwater design included the introduction of catch basins, exfiltration trench and stormwater piping to effectively collect stormwater, provide water quality treatment and route the stormwater to existing overflow outfalls to Biscayne Bay. As part of the project, an existing condition assessment of the existing outfalls was conducted and rehabilitation and upsizing of the existing outfalls as required was proposed. This stormwater project due to its outfall to Biscayne Bay required extensive permitting coordination with Miami-Dade County DERM, South Florida Water Management District and the US Army Corps of Engineers. Miami-Dade County Pine Shores Drainage )Improvement Project. Chen Moore & Associates provided engineering design services for the Pine Shores Drainage Improvement Project. Chen Moore and Associates analyzed the existing drainage systems and designed a system to handle the 5 year - 1 day storm event. Miami Beach City Center Right of Way Improvement Project. Chen Moore and Associates is the prime consultant and was responsible for providing surveying, planning, geotechnical investigation, design, permitting, preparation of construction documents, bid and award and construction engineering and inspection services for infrastructure improvements within the public right of way areas of the City Center neighborhood of Miami Beach. The project encompasses approximately 24,000 LF of ROW infrastructure improvements including water main replacements, sanitary sewer upgrades, stormwater drainage improvements, paving & grading, streetscaping enhancements, landscaping improvements, lighting improvements, and roadway reconstruction. This project also required extensive coordination with the Public, adjacent CRAs, historic districts and various regulatory agencies. As part of the proposed stormwater and drainage services, extensive analysis was conducted utilizing ICPR Modeling and GIS to meet and/or exceed required stormwater Level of Services standards. The proposed stormwater design included the introduction of catch basins and storm water piping to effectively collect and route the stormwater to 16 drainage gravity wells with overflow outfall to Dade Canal. Water quality treatment was an important consideration and design factor of the system to ensure that appropriate treatment was provided prior to discharge to the gravity wells and outfalls. Village of Pinecrest SW 104th Street Drainage Improvements. Chen Moore and Associates was contracted by the Village of Pinecrest to provide design and permitting related services to address drainage concerns along the north side of SW 104th Street at the intersection with SW 77th Avenue. Proposed drainage improvements included drainage structures and exfiltration trench within the public right of way to address the drainage problem. North Miami Beach NE 168th Street Roadway Improvements. Chen Moore and Associates provided consulting engineering services for the NE 168 Street (between NE 18 Avenue and NE 19 Avenue) and NE 18 Avenue (between NE 168 Street and NE 169 Street) right of way improvements. The scope of the project included addressing drainage concerns, providing new curbing and street paving, replacing/adding sidewalks, providing new paved parking areas which were gravel, and providing landscaping areas for future plantings to be completed by the City. www.chenmoore.com
