) C IT Y SUN N Y ISLES BEACH o F CIVIL ENGINEERING SERVICES TO DESIGN STREET AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS ) DESIGN/BUILD FOR 1.595 FINAL DESIGN, BROWARD COUNTY, FL - FDOT, DISTRICT 4 (AECOMIDRAGADOS) Project Engineer involved with the drainage design for several sections of the corridor. She assisted with the design services for the preparation of construction documents for major freeway improvements in Broward County, Florida. The design tasks include exfiltration trench design, storm sewer design and analysis, and both wet and dry retention stormwater management pond designs. The design involves the use of spreadsheets, ICPR, ASAD and Microstation. SR-997/KROME AVENUE, BRIDGE HYDRAULIC REPORT, MIAMI.DADE COUNTY, FL - FDOT, DISTRICT 6 Project Engineer - She designed the drainage hydraulic alternatives for the bridge crossing the Miami Canal C-6 at SR- 997 Krome Avenue, using the HEC-RAS model. The SR-997 (Krome Avenue) Bridge crossing over the Miami Canal (C- 6) (Existing Bridge No. 870134) was replaced with one northbound and one southbound road bridge. RJ Behar was contracted by the FOOT to perform the hydraulic and scour analyses and prepare the Bridge Hydraulic Report for the project. 1-75/GRIFFIN ROAD INTERCHANGE - BROWARD COUNTY, FL Drainage/Permitting Engineer - The scope of the project included design modifications to the interchange drainage, which included modification of inlets and existing pipes, new control structures within the existing ponds to provide treatment of additional impervious areas and modification of the existing ponds/detention areas. NORTH BROWARD COUNTY NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT - BROWARD COUNTY WATER & WASTEWATER DEPARTMENT Drainage Engineer - She was in charge of designing, and proposed installation of a comprehensive stormwater management system, for a portion of the North Broward County Neighborhood Improvement Project (NCNIP). This project included assessment of the existing drainage system, identifying problem areas, and offering a suitable solution for existing flood problems. She also prepared the permit package including SFWMD, FOOT and Broward County. DISTRICT ENGINEERS PERMIT REVIEWS - CENTRAL BROWARD WATER CONTROL DISTRICT Technical Support - Provided hydrologic-hydraulic expertise and reviewed technical issues regarding proposed projects SHADY BANKS/SEPTIC AREA NUMBER 5 - CITY OF FORT LAUDERDALE, FL Project Engineer for the conversion of a septic system community to a sanitary sewer system. She also prepared the water permit package. SISTRUNK BOULEVARD FROM FEDERAL HIGHWAY TO 27th AVENUE - CITY OF FORT LAUDERDALE, FL Project Engineer who prepared contract documents for over 2 miles of new water lines; prepared all the design calculation, cost estimates specifications and water permit package. HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD (SR.S20) FROM SR.A1A TO US.1- FDOT DISTRICT 4 Drainage Engineer - Ms. Aponte worked on the design of drainage improvements for the project. TURNPIKE WIDENING JOHNSON STREET TO GRIFFIN ROAD - FDOT TURNPIKE ENTERPRISE Drainage Engineer - This project was to widen the Turnpike mainline from 6 to 8-lanes. This project involved milling, resurfacing and widening of the Turnpike, which included the Stormwater Management design of all surrounding area of this highway portion and the highway itself. Ms. Aponte worked on the drainage design and permitting packages. KROME AVENUE BRIDGE HYDRAULIC REPORT (BHR) MIAMI.DADE COUNTY, FL- FDOT, DISTRICT 6 Hydraulic Analysis - She designed drainage Hydraulic alternatives for the bridge crossing the Miami Canal C-6 at SR- 997 Krome Avenue using the HEC-RAS model. MIRAMAR CANAL SYSTEM EVALUATION - CITY OF MIRAMAR, FL Project Engineer - She performed the site evaluations to determine the existing conditions of the canal system. She evaluated the drainage basin, siltation and deterioration of seawalls. Ms. Aponte performed basin evaluation using the AdlCPR model. She studied the canal system interaction with the TURNPIKE/HEFT interchange drainage system. ESTERO BAY NUTRIENT LOAD ASSESSMENT - SOUTH FLORIDA WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT Ms. Aponte assessed and developed a nutrient load assessment model for planners, regulators and local stakeholders to evaluate various alternatives to protect and enhance water quality within the basin and related impacts on Estero Bay using the WAMView model. NW 7th/9th AVENUE CONNECTOR, PROJECT DEVELOPMENT & ENVIRONMENTAL STUDY - CITY OF FORT LAUDERDALE, BROWARD COUNTY, FUFDOT, DISTRICT 4 Environmental Engineer - She performed the re-evaluation of the contamination screening and evaluation report in accordance with FOOT/PD&E 23 CFR 771. The re-evaluation identified significant environmental impacts, which may have changed after previous environmental reports. Conclusions and recommendations were also provided in order to continue to the next project phase or Phase II of the Environmental Assessment before project execution. Si R.J.Behar R. J.
