He has also designed geogrid-reinforced embankments with MSE walls with an
overall height of 40 feet.

KEY PROJECTS

PORT OF MIAMI WHARF VI BULKHEAD EXTENSION - MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL
Senior Geotechnical Engineer in charge of the geotechnical scope for this Port of Miami project. His duties included
coordination with the personnel assigned to the project. The work included the field data collection and the bulkhead
geotechnical analysis. Performed the analysis of a wharf bulkhead system, 950 feet long for a maximum dredging
elevation at 52 feet, NGVD29. The bulkhead consisted of 46-inch diameter steel pipe piles spaced 8 feet apart. The
geotechnical analysis of the bulkhead system included the weight of one side of a gantry crane transferred through eight
wheels. The other side is supported on an independent pile system.

PORT OF MIAMI NORTH POMTOC YARD PAVEMENT AND SEABOARD MARINE YARD PAVEMENT - MIAMI.
DADE COUNTY, FL
Senior Geotechnical Engineer in charge of the geotechnical scope for this Port of Miami project. His duties included
coordination with the personnel assigned to the project. The work included the field data collection and the pavement
analysis. Provided pavement analysis was for rubber-tire gantry cranes and stacker-container loading machines. The
analysis included pavement thicknesses for the vehicles and per repetitions per year. Included recommendations,
specification for construction.

)

BICENTENNIAL PARK NEW BULKHEAD DESIGN - MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL
Senior Geotechnical Engineer in charge of the geotechnical services for this City of Miami project. His duties included
coordination with the personnel assigned to the project. The work included the field data collection and the design of
cantilever retaining walls and recommendations for sheetpile construction. Provided evaluation of the existing bulkhead
system that consisted of an old anchored steel sheet pile. The existing bulkhead was in poor conditions. The new system
consisted of a cantilever steel sheetpile with an oversized section modulus to avoid the use of anchor and minimize the
disturbance of contaminated soils behind the existing bulkhead. The new sheepile wall extended from the northeast
corner of Bicentennial Park with the MacArthur Causeway Bridge, continued along the east side of the park, the
American Airline Arena and ended near Dodge Island Bridge.

Ii;'; I

R.
