Geotechnical: Geosol, Inc. will provide any required geotechnical services. Geosol has been a trusted provider
r
of a wide range of geotechnical services in South Florida for more than a decade.
Other Considerations: During our field visits we observed localized settlement of the NE 174th Street roadway
adjacent to the raised median. A 30" sanitary sewer line runs directly beneath the median, as well as irrigation
lines. The existing landscape in the median consists of large trees and other established plantings. It is possible
that the roadway settlement is a result of voids beneath the surface resulting from penetration of the sanitary
f ] sewer or irrigation lines from tree root systems. The City may consider having this issue investigated by our
design team as part of this project.
Overall Organization to Completing the Project
BHA's team for this project was assembled to maximize efficiency, agility and responsiveness to the City
throughout the duration of the project. The attached Organizational Chart shows the team structure and the lead
individual for each major discipline.
Our project manager is Joseph Rojas, PE, with 25 years of civil engineering experience in South Florida. Mr.
Rojas is a hands -on project manager who emphasizes excellent communication with the clients's PM and
stakeholders. Joseph will implement BHA's Project Management & Approach for the NE 174th Street Drainage
and Street Improvements project. It contains the following elements: Field Reviews — will be conducted with
FDOT's project manager and the project team to scope out deficiencies and needs. Data Collection — obtain
roadway and utility as -built plans, existing utilities, etc. Survey — provide DTM survey that covers the project.
Utility Coordination — contact utility owners to obtain as -built plans and keep utility owners informed throughout
the design process. Control of Schedule — update schedule on a bi- weekly basis; identify potential schedule
impacts and take proactive measures. Control of Budget — provide reliable cost estimates and continually
i track project costs. Design Calculations — provide all design calculations based on applicable standards and
requirements. Plans and Estimates — provide a complete, biddable plan set and Engineer's Estimate of Cost.
Project Coordination — coordinate closely with the City's PM and with Agencies Having Jurisdiction. Institute
regular project meetings with the City, prepare minutes and keep log of issues and action items. Maintain close
coordination with subconsultants and verify their adherence to project guidelines and schedules. Permitting —
submit required permit applications. QC /QA Plan — BHA will implement our 3 -step QA /QC plan, integrated with
the design effort.
