<br />ARTICLE 29 <br />COURT TIME <br /> <br />Section I. Bargaining unit employees shal1 receive a minimum of four (4) hours <br />overtime at one and one-half (1 1/2) times their regular rate for necessary of!:duty work <br />related to court appearances required by court order or quasi-judicial and administrative <br />hearings, concerning pending criminal, civil or traffic cases. To be eligible, an employee <br />must be called back to work at a time outside his/her normal working hours, and at least four <br />(4) hours before the beginning of the shift and one (I) hour after the end of the shift. Pay for <br />witncss fees shal1 be returned to the City. Employees may be permitted to accrue <br />compensatory time for off-duty court appearances in lieu of cash payments. <br /> <br />- 38 - <br />
