Tbe 65,000 square foot building includes a new 100 person Emergency <br />Operations Center, Watch Command, Situation Room, General Office space and a Press and Conference <br />Center. Providing an array of coordinated services has allowed NYe OEM to capitali1,e 00 SM&W COte <br />expertise in providing telecommunications (voice, data and infrastructure), Data Center Phnning, Audiovisual <br />and Acoustical consulting services. <br /> <br />Shen Mil$Om & Wilke has de:signed a variety of sophisticated and flexible audiovisual presentation and <br />decision support systems for the New York City OEM. TheJCPSCC w", <br />designed to utilize state-of-the-art communications equipment to provide the police and fire frrst responders <br />with as much useful information as possible. <br /> <br />The facility is designed to provide high speed communication channels to the resources in the street. Within <br />the command center, SMW designed the security systems, audiovisual systems and the Information <br />Technology used by the operatots of the Dispatch and e911 systems. "Situational Awarenessll. was a key <br />criterion for the integration of Audiovisual and Information Systems.
