The relevant experience discussed in this section is a sampling of Ardaman's experience.

Public Sector Contracts
Specifically, we believe that there are two areas of experience which we believe are applicable to the
geotechnical services required by the City. The first is experience providing similar services to public
entities under a continuing services contract. Ardaman has worked under numerous such contracts with
public agencies throughout Florida in general and in South Florida in particular. Through these contracts
we have learned the importance of the following;

1. The necessity to do more with less as public agencies are faced with ever decreasing budgets and
demands for increasing levels of service. This requires all engineers under contract, including
geotechnical engineers, to consider the entire life cycles of projects and assure the client that the
totality of design, construction and ongoing maintenance costs are considered at all times.

2. As keepers of the public trust, public entities such as the City are under a much higher level of
scrutiny than private clients. As a consultant for the City we will advocate for the City's interests as
we provide the required technical services, always considering the welfare of both the City and the
public it serves, Further, we know that as a public entity, the City demands ethical behavior from
its consultants, and Ardaman has a reputation for upholding a very high level of professional
conduct.

)
)
)
)
)

3. Communication is paramount when working with public clients. Before any task is initiated we will
make sure that all parties have a complete understanding of the project's objectives, and agree to
the schedule, budget and all deliverables, Further, whenever cost increases or schedule
adjustments become necessary, we recognize the importance of communicating these changes to
the appropriate City staff as soon as possible.

The following table describes public sector contracts in South Florida currently held by Ardaman &
Associates, Inc.

\

Client Services Contract Approximate Client Contact
Duration Annual Fee
Citizens Property Insurance Co, Geotechnical Engineering Ms, Kerl Dennis
2312 Killearn Center Blvd. 2011 - 2014 $2.5 million (904) 208-7553
Tallahassee, FL 32309 Services
City of Miami Ms, Betty Doyle
444 SW 2 Ave, 8th Floor Geotechnical Material Testing Ongoing $500,00 Term (305) 416-1280
Miami, FL 33233
Miami-Dade County Mr, Carlos Lavista
111 NW lslStreet,Ste 1610 Geotechnical Material Testing Ongoing $200,000 (305) 375-4660
Miami, FL 33128
Palm Beach County Public Works Construction Materials Testing, Mr, David Young, PE
P,O.
