Project Experience

City of Orlando Amway Center Streetscape, Orlando, FL
The City of Orlando Amway Center Streetscape project
is an extension of the Venues Master Plan and an
important component of the redevelopment of the City's
Parramore Neighborhood. In addition to being a catalyst
for redevelopment, the project also focuses on seamlessly
integrating one of the City's newest venues, the Orlando
Amway Center, into the urban fabric. In addition to project
management, the project team provided the City with
design services that included conceptual design, design
development, final design and construction documents
as well as bid and construction phase assistance. Mr.
McMacken provided Project Management oversight and QAf
QC.

Winter Park - Park Avenue, Winter Park, FL
In association with Dover Kohl & Partners, the project
team prepared the Park Avenue Master Plan and Phase I
construction documents for the City of Winter Park. The
plan was designed to "right size" the avenue by narrowing

travel lanes and widening sidewalks along the prestigious
Park Avenue shopping district. Elements of the plan
included landscaping and streetscape, traffic calming,
site furnishings and utility upgrades, and the development
of design standards to further enhance the charm of this
unique urban village. Mr. McMacken provided Project
Management oversight and QAfQC.

Lake Nona Boulevard Landscape Improvements, Orlando,
FL
As the gateway roadway into the Lake Nona community,
the boulevard enhancements set the design standard for
the rest of the development. Improvements were designed
based on guidelines previously developed including
decorative roadway and pedestrian paving, plazas, columns
and fencing, walls, adjacent trail layout and surfacing,
median and roadway edge landscape, and irrigation. Mr.
McMacken was the Project Manager and provided QA/QC.

Hollis Garden, Lakeland, FL
Hollis Gardens is a formal garden located within the historic
Lake Mirror Park, which was a gift to the people of Lakeland
from the Hollis family. This terraced garden documents
the domestication of Florida. The design includes grottos
and garden architecture which represent the history of
Florida from the wilderness through the agrarian periods.
The project team provided the landscape architecture
and construction documents for this detailed garden. Mr.
McMacken was the Project Manager and provided QAfQC.

Indian Riverside Park, Martin County, FL
The focus of Indian Riverside Park was on the
redevelopment of the site and to preserve, enhance and
restore the existing natural systems such as the 2,500
feet of Indian River frontage and the interior mangrove
swamp. Stormwater treatment was retrofitted into the
existing project, and integrated into the enhancement
plan for the interior mangrove swamp. The preservation
and enhancement of upland, mangrove and seagrass
systems was accomplished while providing recreational
opportunities for the citizens of Martin County. Mr.
McMacken was the Project Manager and provided QAfQC.
