CTA has an unmatched level of experience in
approaching the design and management of these types of projects. In our experience, the
best way to anticipate major problems in a project is to think ahead and to continuously ask
questions and solicit input from knowledgeable people. This applies to both the design phase
and construction phase. eTA holds a weekly departmental staff meeting where our surveyors,
landscape architects, land planners and civil engineers share information and ask questions on
various projects, and this often helps to identify potential problems before they occur. A direct
line of communication from our field representatives to the professional staff also helps to get
answers quickly and avoid unnecessary delays.

CTA's approach to problem solving and solutions is one of inclusiveness and a thorough
evaluation of options. We will often develop numerous design alternatives (or solutions) and
discuss each alternative in detail with the City and any affected parties. Very often these same
individuals will also be involved in brainstorming and sharing ideas for a given solution. At the
end of the process, eTA will provide a recommendation that will include cost estimates and
time lines, if applicable.

Overall, CTA will work to achieve the following goals as the City's Park Design Consultant:

· Same day response to inquiries
· Schedule with milestone dates
Recovery schedule
· Explore alternatives during design phase
· Verify cost opinions with other sources
· Keep the City of Sunny Isles Beach's project manager informed of critical elements
· Direct contact with our Project Manager

CRAVEN THOMPSON & ASSOCIATES, INC.
ENGINEERING - SURVEYING - LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE - PLANNING

413
