Mr. Schultz attended the University of <br />Kentucky and graduated with a Bachelors of Landscape Architecture <br />in 2002. He received his professional Registered Landscape <br />Architecture license from the State of Florida in 2008 and is also a <br />LEED Accredited Professional with the United States Greenbuild <br />Council. Mr. Schultz came to CTA with 10 years of experience <br />working on park projects, high end hotels and master-planned communities and has been <br />with CTA for a little under a year, but has proven to be a valuable asset. He will be the <br />primary point of contact with the City staff, providing direction to the project team and <br />ensuring that all project tasks are completed successfully and to the City's satisfaction. He <br />is responsible for seeing projects from concept to detailed design and through construction. <br />He has acted as the primary project manager on several public and private sector <br />construction projects. He is very knowledgeable in the design process and brings a creative <br />eye for design while also having an extensive construction background understanding. <br />Working under the Project Manager will be additional Landscape Architectural staff, <br />Engineering staff, Surveying staff, AutoCAD Technicians, field representatives, and <br />administrative support, as necessary to meet the needs of each project. Sub-consultant <br />services and/or specialized services will also be coordinated by the Project Manager. <br /> <br />THE FOLLOWING ARE PROJECTS WHERE DOUG HAS BEEN THE PROJECT MANAGER: <br /> <br />City of Sunrise - Three Passive Park Projects <br />NW 44th Street and Oakland Park Boulevard, and Nob Hill Passive Parks <br /> <br />The City of Sunrise acquired three tracts of <br />land dedicated to become community <br />passive parks. Each park will have their own <br />specific amenity that will make it unique, but <br />the hardscape components such as paving, <br />lighting, benches, walking surfaces, fences <br />and restroom facilities will all have the same <br />character which will relate the three parks <br />together. The 44th Street Park will have a <br />splash pad water feature for kids while the <br />38th Street Park will have a disc golf course <br />and Nob Hill Road Park will have a labyrinth, <br />amphitheater and memorial garden.
